Vickie and Ronnie have retreated to their home for paperwork and a nap.
I came in the house to nap, but it's not happening...



Tonight's dinner is strip steak, caesar salad, baked potatoes, some sort of veggie, and garlic bread, with fresh apple cake and Bailey's for dessert. Vickie has tried two news things since she's been here - fresh strawberries dipped in sour cream then brown sugar (she SAID she liked it), and a roast beef, pepperoni, and cheese panini (she SAID she liked it, too...I think she's just polite).

Diana, as much as I hate to say this, Mitch is constantly trying to feed us, as in, trying to be nice like me! Last night we had salad, rice, chicken cordon bleu, broccoli, lunch was panini's, which we've never had before, but now Ronnie wants a panini machine so... Oh, and not to mention all the Carolyn's Coolers we had last night, okay, maybe not bunches, but more like a few. Yep, she's the hostess with the mostest!

Man, I'm gaining weight just reading this! Also getting hungry as heck! I LOVE strawberries dipped in SC and BS! But I usually mix them...takes to long to dip here, dip there... Sounds like Mitch is doing what she does best! Apple cake...would that be Jewish Apple Cake, one of my personal favorites???

Some people take their minds places where the shouldn't be... I really did mean that, for me, Bailey's is more than a flavor...it has a silken feeling. What in the world did you think I meant???? (Oh, I know what you thought...and knowing what you know of me, I can understand why you thought what you thought, although I really didn't think what you thought I meant. I sure hope that cleared it up!) But it really still does make you a Dewfus. But we all already knew that.

What's Jewish Apple Cake? My recipe has Granny Smith, flour, sugar, baking soda, walnuts, butter, vanilla, cinnamon...

If I was nicer to you???? Ladies, tonight she made me lay down while she rubbed doggie treat in my hair and hid it behind my shoulder just to (supposedly ) play a game with her sweet Abby! If Abby was anything like her mean Mommy I wouldn't have done it, but she's a real sweetie and she loves her Auntie Vickie. (more than her mean Mommy)

Tomorrow I'll try to get a pic for yall of the ramp Mitch has to use to get up on her bed! I think she has to take a running start from the kitchen, just to get her short little legs going up the ramp! (She SAYS the ramp is for Abby, but we all know the truth)

4 parts champagne, 1 part pineapple juice, 1/2 part orange juice - concocted in honor of our pal Carolyn's (sunshinecruiserTN or shinyTNer or CruisinTNSun...you get the drift...) retirement last year. (p.s. - it's BEST as stated above, but no OJ works just fine in a pinch...)
