Drunk, and it's the fault of Sparkle's friends

Postby Bethers » Fri May 14, 2010 9:56 pm

Wow, I only had one full drink and less than a third of the second - and I'm DRUNK - yep in capital letters. One of Sparkle's friends thought I deserved a night out - we had a Mexian dinner - and I ordered my 2nd margarita and couldn't drink it. I swear, I haven't been drinkng at it was straight tequila. Thought I'd be sick driving home, but made it ok, after making them stop so I could think about getting ill (think about since I dindn't). Walked Peaches and am having a hell of a time typing on here. Stopped in Jean's and told her she might not see me till who knows when.

night all.

Nighty night! Hope you don't feel too bad in the morning! Crackers always worked pretty well for me.

And, I agree with Ava, you shouldn't have been driving! (Been there, done that before, tho, too. But still...)

Judging from her post, sounds like the friends were driving....hope they didn't join you in the maggies! You deserve it, just hope that tomorrow you don't regret it!! LOL! Yeah, Mitch, I hate the twirlies too, which is one reason of many I very seldom indulge. Altho your Carolyn's Coolers are to die for!!

Nope, Beth didn't drive as she made them stop to 'perhaps puke!'

You so deserved a night out, Beth, and I am so happy for Sparkle's friends realizing that! With just that amount of booze, you are probably just fine this morning after sleeping it off! But we might not hear from you at a very early hour! Enjoy your Saturday doing easy chores and relaxing things, like napping a lot! More kudos to you for being such an amazing friend to our ailing Sparkle.

Good for you, Beth. I hate that sick feeling - guess that's why I stick to wine now. Years ago I came home to find my roommate laying in bed with one leg out touching the floor. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was holding the room down.

Shortly after typing that last night, I fell asleep on the couch - woke up during the night and made my way all the way the few feet to my bed - and slept in this morning and FEEL GREAT!!!! Took Peaches for a long hike and am thinking about cleaning. I guess I really did need that - and Jenny, I was happy at your place, but Sparkle was the drunk one :)

And, yes to those of you who recognized it wasn't me driving. And the driver wasn't drinking. But I'm obviously a wuss drinker. Tequila rarely gives me hangovers - so that's one good thing about margaritas - but I really do like them better when weaker - and I can enjoy myself longer :)

Oh, just to mention - Jenny makes great margaritas.

It was nine o'clock at night and I put off the telly and switched off the light. Did that give them a hint? If so they ignored it. Two women staggering all over my rig trying to find the lights. Beth is in the bathroom switching things like crazy. I finally told her to shut the hell up and listen THE SWITCH WAS ON THE WALL. Where she has been switching it for 2 months. Anyway, I was just jealous and I'm glad she had a good time.
