GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!
It's about 43 degrees out this morning, after an all-night rain. I can even hear peepers from the pond again this morning----it's been so cold here lately that I am sure they thought winter had not yet gone! My lilac bush is looking very, very sad. The blueberries health remains to be seen as the month marches on.
Today is a jeans days, so I don't need to try to figure out what to wear, and I love it!
Our assembly yesterday was related to drug use rather than bullying----the bullying assembly will be next week. We had a sort of rock concert early in the morning yesterday...a REALLY LOUD rock concert....so loud I had to stuff my ears with kleenex and hold them shut! The principal finally had to cut the music short to get to the main reason for the whole thing. (Their sound equipment was designed for a large, open field, not our auditorium with such good acoustics) They also had a VCR tape about a high school couple who had an argument with their parents, went to a rock concert with pot and booze, and had a fatal accident on the way home. The senior prom is this weekend, so it was a timely message. Kids sometimes do not pay attention to such messages, however, as they still tend to think they are immortal and invincible. I always hold my breath until prom weekend is over, and then senior skip day.
Coffee is ready now, and I am going to take a nice hot bath before heading out. When I get home, I will need to prepare my trailer and truck for a haul to the dealer tomorrow, to leave it there for this upcoming week while they put my new tires on. I am also thinking I might have them de-winterize it this year as I had a small plumbing leak under my bathroom sink I want them to check out. I can pick it up on next Friday, as we have that day off because of an unused snow day. It will be my first hitch and haul with this new truck! I sure hope those rotten tires will take me back there!
Happy Friday, All!
