Good Evening

Hello all. Since I have to get up and ready for work in the morning now that my summer job is here, I don't have time for "Morning Coffee". So thought I would post an evening thread.
Chilly rainy day here today. What happened to spring? I spent 4 hours out in the rain this mornng at work along with everybody else including the boss, raking, spreading dirt, seeding and laying matting over it all. We just had a new hard crushed stone pathway put down through our picnic area and our boss wanted to get the seed down so the rain could wet it. He was about ready to call it quits when the rain got a little persistent rather than have us getting all wet, but the rest of us wanted to keep going at it cause there wasn't muc left. Needless to say, we wre a bunch of rather wet, damp and chilly folks by the time we quit for lunch. Spent the rest of the day inside doing odd jobs. Trade off was boss told us we could go home an hour early. We like our boss very much and we knock ourselves out for him hence why we keep going. And he's right in there with us.
So now I have had dinner, fed my dogs, and am catching up with the days threads.
I know a lot of you in the NE are mournng the loss of plants, lilacs, etc., Don't feel bad. Same here. My lilacs have had it too and I think what apple blossoms I had are shot also. I didn't have many blossoms on those trees this spring. I think the crazy weather got the trees all messed up. And west of me here is the regions major cherry producing area. They are experiencing problems too. Oh well. Last year was a bumper crop. So tomorrow is back to the park for another day. Have a great evening everyone.

Hi! I'm just in from a long walk around the campground. So many years working with (not for) the Forest Service leaves me endlessly fascinated by the infrastucture.
I had thought only 300 sites, but exploring to the very end I think it is close to 350.
The state of TX is transitioning to a new computer system this week. The office staff is in fits! You worker gals will appreciate that I bet! Anyway, an hour or so walking and I'm ready to curl up with a book. BTW, just finished Dick Francis...
Wild Horses. I love his books! Good night!

Good Evening, Ladies. I'm trying to catch up on all these posts. When we're home, I jump online all during the day and I guess I don't realize how many posts there are each day. Miss a couple of days and it seems like it's never ending! Always interesting stuff, though.

Got set up here in the campground and got the a/c going, finally cooled off inside. Cooked us some burgers and we've been watching tv. Ronnie is sitting in front of the TV checking for holes in his eyelids.

Just got home from working 5.75 hours today with the carnival. It was a kinda crazy day as we were not due to open till 5:00 and people were in line to buy tickets at 3:30, needless to say the bosses were out selling tickets and we started at 3:45. Tomorrow we open at 3:00 even though it is posted we don't open till 5:00. Wonder what kind of day we will have.

Ron too is checking his eyelids for holes. Think I will nudge him and head off to bed. Neither of slept well last night and was up early this morning. We also went on a fairly long walk today: up a huge hill to the post office here in Port Townsend and then back down the hill and into town. It has been a good day. Hope everyone sleeps well tonight.
