I can only imagine how shocking that must be for you and your family! Know that we all have you in our thoughts and prayers. Give yourself lots of time to grieve and process this whole thing. Oh Lenora, so very very sorry for your loss. Words can't express and I won't even try, just know that you are in all of our thoughts at this sad time.

I can really use the campfire tonight and a hot toddy. Wouldn't mind some music too, if anyone is feeling musically inclined. I need a good workout and will dance to whatever is played  We arrived in Watkins Glen this pm and it's cold and rainy. Suppose to be like this for the next few days. Usually, when I leave FL, I seem to have the sun attached to the MH, but not this time  . My tGM is from Ithaca, so he really loves this area. Me too. Lots of gorges, waterfalls, wineries, lakes, gardens and his cousin still lives there. So, we signed up for a week. Found the wine, so that will do along with hummus and crackers. tGM is cooking a pork loin in the Weber and I guess I'll have to figure out sides. carold

I'll take a small glass of that wine, thanks. I will sit still and try to be mindful of the world that is still here. I will toast all that are gone before and wish strength to those that have been left behind. ((((hugs)))) .....And balance keep breathing.

Carold...Check out my Weber Grill commercial thread under General Talk. You can have that dance you want and cook on your Weber at the same time ;)

Had to walk around the campground awhile to find the camp fire. The coals were out so it was hard to see. I took the opportunity to clean it up and start some of the dry logs from the lean to. I helped myself to the wine that Cedar keeps behind the.....Oh, its not a secret is it, Cedar? ;) Anyway, the weather in SW Ohio was just about perfect today. The dogs made sure that they got to go "visiting" today since I had been working all week and they find that so boring. They made up for it by collecting lots of ear scratches and snuggles from their friends. Found a beautiful, well made, almost new condition, Herschel sized, collapsible soft sided travel crate at Goodwill today for $15. Never know what you can find coming in off the truck. Need to clip Remi and groom Izzy for next week's dog shows in Marietta, Oh. But for now I think the hot tub looks very good and ...hey I can always groom tomorrow right? Along with grocery shopping and picking up my prescriptions. Herschel told me he was tuckered out and done for the day. Hope everyone found some bright moments of joy and a little laughter in their day.....it all helps to handle the rest of what ever comes. :)

It was such a beautiful day here today that I had to spend some time outside! I decided to take a hike at the MN Landscape Arboretum not too far from me. It has lots of woods, flower gardens, waterfalls, lakes, streams, wetlands, bogs, many miles of trails, etc. I usually only go in the fall to see the fall colors so haven't ever been there in the spring. I had no idea what I was missing! It was just beautiful! All the gorgeous flowers blooming everywhere and the smells were heavenly! My only regret was not bringing my camera! What was I thinking???? I might go back later this week with my camera while the flowers are still in full bloom.
I even brought home a souvenier! A wood tick! Found him attached to my knee cap (odd place for a woodtick!) while doing a tick search before getting into the shower tonight. I am surprised I only found one! (I wandered off the trail into the deep grass a few times). My new job is just a mile or so from this arboretum so I plan to spend more time there this summer. I may buy a membership so I can go whenever I want without needing money to get in each time.

Great night for a campfire! So calm and quiet except for the crickets and frogs! Love them! And no bugs yet (at least not up here!).
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Ah, too bad you must have forgotten your camera! I'd have liked to have seen that place, Barbie.
