Been lurking on the sidelines for a few weeks and finally made the decision to join up so I can ask questions. I value all the input I can gain from your experiences. I am a young at heart widow within a couple of years of retirement. Am trying to sell my toooo large home with the toooo large yard and all that work. Don't get me wrong, when my husband was alive I really enjoyed working around the home and yard, but now that it's just me and Gus (12 year old fox terrier) it's no fun. What I have learned since becoming single again is that I love seeking out new horizons. So I've been exploring the idea of full time rving. Glad to know there is a network out there.
I teach so in about 20 days I will be on my summer break and was thinking it would be a good time to test the waters so to speak. I "think" I am looking for a good used Class C. I like having it all contained with the driving area. As it so happens I already own a towable vehicle -HHR - so I think I would want something that could pull the car. Then there is the question of washer/dryer on board or use public facilities; how necessary is a tub or is just a shower enough; are slides worth the trouble? So, as you can see, I have lots of questions. Looking forward to input and ideas.
