Thanks AGAIN everyone! You all have me grinnin' from ear to ear listening to your greetings and info.

I have to figure out how this group works a little better - several asked me to post pet photos which of course I'm proud to do as soon as I figure out where! : ) Got four gorgeous cats that keep me company, sleep with me 1/2 the night and are not terribly spoiled. Three ferals I captured and tamed and a "normal" (is there such a thing???) cat that I adopted from my sister's family after my 19 year old kitty crossed the Rainbow Bridge in September 1999 along with her two babies that died one year each before her @ 17 & 18 years. Then I adopted my little dog Buddy from the pound after I moved to my new home here in Central WA, November 2008. The Kitties are primarily Norweigan Forest Cats and the Pooch is 1/2 Australian Cattle Dog and Black Lab Mixed. They keep me busy and occupied (whether I want to be or not!)

I'm glad to see rampant humor here. I love joking and teasing and turning a dull phrase into a shockingly funny juxtaposition! (of course I can't think of any right now!) : )

Well, Bless You All and thanks again for a great welcome - I'm tickled pink that "we're" from all over the place - I read a memoir of a lady who lived alone in the wilderness in the Adirondacks - it was wonderful, very inspiring!

Humor? On this forum? You must be mistaken. We are all very, very serious and never joke. We take everything completely seriously. And at any get togethers, we don't have any fun - we all just sit and stare into space.

Now, if you believe that ....

If you need to learn how to post pictures, check out the Maintenance Room - the first post gives a little overview.

Welcome, Joy. Good luck in your hunt for an RV. It took me many many months to find my trailer.

Would that have been Anne LaBastille? She lived near me for a while. Unfortunately she's now suffering from alzheimers and is in care. A wonderful lady,...I enjoyed several conversations with her.

I read her books too. Very inspiring. How nice it was that you got to know her cause it sounds like she didnl't always seek out company. That's too bad about her Alzheimer's. She sounds like she was quite a lady. I guess I am going to have to put that area on my "travels list". Been to NY, but not up that far. Mostlly along Lake Champlain and that area.

I live 10 miles inland from Champlain, with a great view of the Adirondack foothills closeup and the high peaks farther away to the west. About 30 miles from Lake Placid where the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics were held. Come visit everyone!
