it is a good thing that Kate's brother Ben got his hands on one. 
The wedding was held at the home of Lucas' parents in Concord, NC. When the rain started about 30 minutes before the ceremony the tables got moved from the back yard/garden to the garage and inside the house. I was really good at collecting and re-covering tables! Kate and Lucas only invited about 70 people and we all fit! We were on the porch watching them stand out in the rain. They didn't have anyone stand up with them on Sat but did accept umbrella holders...and they had already gone to the court house the day before and Lucas' mother and I served as the wttnesses. But then I was sitting on a towel on the front steps so that I could get a front "pew." It wasn't very difficult to figure out why the weather not cooperating was really not the end of the world for either of them. It was all about having their family and friends around to celebrate and share with them.
