WEDNESDAY, AND Brrrrr!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WEDNESDAY, AND Brrrrr!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Talk about crispy and cold, this morning is it! It's back down to 35 degrees and the grass is crunchy. I had no heat on in the trailer, but it stayed relatively warm in there. A storm front came though here last evening beginning at about 5:00, just as Molly and I were out of sight of the house on our walk! A horribly strong wind began blowing like crazy from out of nowhere, and then the rain and pea-sized hail began falling from a sky that had been partly sunny just a few minutes before....you should have seen us both running for the house! The wind blew heavy things like chairs around, and manage to flip open the door to my old trailer that doesn't always latch tightly and blow it forcefully under the rolled up awning. When I found it after the storm, lots of rain had blown in there, so that was a job to get that mopped up. If I had known such a storm was on the way, I would have parked my new truck under the shelter, as I worried about it in case the hail got any bigger----thank heavens it didn't, but it came down for quite a while in a driving wind. Saranac Lake, a bit south of us from here, probably got socked with a violent-sounding thunderstorm. Molly and I held our breath, hoping it would stay south, and it did!

Follow-up doc's appointment today to check on blood pressure and see if there is anything more I can do about the high cholesterol counts. I have lost about 7 pounds since I began with the new blood pressure meds and a new diet! All if that breathlessness and morning coughing I was experiencing was apparently related to my blowing up like a wood tick because of the Norvasc medication, thank heavens! That has gone, and my lungs feel normal again. I refuse to be on a treadmill of meds and more meds as I get older, and my goal is to be free of all of them, if I am able.

Time to get moving here, read yesterday's posts and my email, get dressed and head out the door. Coffee is hot and the heater is on in here, so c'mon in and tell us about your plans and tribulations. (What are tribulations, anyway?? Something adverse, I guess, as it is always used with 'trials and tribulations.' Guess I'll look it up when I get off here!)

Happy Wednesday everyone!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning ladies
Enjoyed a good dinner at Applebees yesterday after work. Teacher appreciation day ya
know, and our local Applebees sent the bus drivers an invitation to join in.
The little dormitory fridge I got from my co-worker is working just fine. This will give
me plenty of time to save up and have a repairman come out and look at the other
one. (next fall)
Our mornings are still chilly and require a jacket but by afternoon we're up into the
90's, won't be long and we'll be breaking the 100 mark.
Nothing else going on in my world, I just go to work and come home, take care of the
dogs and go to bed.
Enjoy your day and be safe.

As you may already know, I'm in Lincoln, NE, at my DD's. Worked out that GD's concert was on one of my days off so came over after my morning work on Mon. DXH covered the afternoon rounds and closing for me so I could have more time here. He will get even, I'm sure ;) DD is taking today off. She's going to highlight my hair and then we will shower and spend the day together :D May go look at trucks since I need to be doing that. Looks like a nice day today...sunny and 71. It was pretty warm yesterday...around 85, I think. I walked with GS to the park and played for awhile in the morning. Then, I went to GDs' school to have lunch with them and spend a little time in their classes. They expect it now if I'm visiting on a school day and I enjoy it anyway ;) I always enjoyed volunteering when my kids were in grade school. GD's orchestra concert was last night. She plays violin and loves it! I was surprised how good they sounded for 2nd year. Must be a good teacher. Well, better get going! Have a great day everyone!!!

Soos...I hate getting caught by surprise in those kind of storms! Thinking it will happen to me more than once this summer since I work outside. Glad the hail didn't hurt your new beautiful truck! Ava...Glad that fridge is working for you! Thank God for friends, huh?

So glad that storm passed you by!

Also glad that you're starting to feel better, and hope that your new diet/meds continue to improve your health.

Good afternoon all. Another sunny, warm day here will be around 82ish. No squirrels in the yard the last couple of days. I've seen them use the tree branches to cross the yard. Even the railing on the fence is too low for them.   Trent is ticked off as his favorite hobby is no longer. He does watch them cross from tree to tree and I can just imagine what he is thinking.

Soos, glad you are feeling better with the switch in meds. I too want to be med free. Ava, glad the fridge is working for you. If there are any RV salvage yards near you, they might just have a fridge that is in working order. Might save you some money .

Take care all and be safe. Linda

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

YAY! I made it! I know, I'm cheating. We're in UT and in UT it's 12:51 pm. But my watch, laptop and us are still on AZ time. And AZ time says it's 11:51am So as far as I'm concerned it's still morning! ;)

We will be spending another night here in the motel. Talked to the boss yesterday and she asked if we could hold off coming up for one more day. They have gotten over 20' of snow this past winter and they are up there working hard at digging out the employee living area. Plowing the road/drive that goes up and around where the TT's are setting and where the employees who have their own rigs park. Soooo? It ought to be really interesting when we get up there tomorrow. We were in St George when we found out so while we did get a lot of groceries we did not get any meat. As much as I hated the thought of paying the horrible prices here in Kanab that is what we are gonna have to do. I didn't want the meat to be sitting in the cooler for 2 days. So we will hit the local grocery store in the morning before we head to the Lodge. We are gonna be housed in one of the 5'ers they use up there until they get delivery on the park models they have coming. Have no idea what it looks like inside, how much room for Kelly and I or what size fridge it has. Might have to put some of my meat in the freezer in the main building for now.

Days here are getting warmer but the nights are still cool. Heaven only knows what the temps will be up to the lodge. When we unload our utility trailer we will be able to find our winter coats. Will probably need them up there. Good thing I grabbed them and boots when we were at David's.

Speaking of David? I think? I posted that he and his wife have split up. He is living with a buddy of his until he can find something else. He sounds so much better than he did. Other than missing Connor and being miserable at not being able to spend every day with him? David says he is so much happier and more relaxed. And he sounds it too when we talk or he sends us a text message. Breaks my heart that this had to come to this. But a marriage can't work if everyone is unhappy.

Ok time to go and post this. It is after "noon" now! Hope everyone has a super day and be sure ya'll stay safe.

Love to all
