GOOD MORNING ALL!
Talk about crispy and cold, this morning is it! It's back down to 35 degrees and the grass is crunchy. I had no heat on in the trailer, but it stayed relatively warm in there. A storm front came though here last evening beginning at about 5:00, just as Molly and I were out of sight of the house on our walk! A horribly strong wind began blowing like crazy from out of nowhere, and then the rain and pea-sized hail began falling from a sky that had been partly sunny just a few minutes before....you should have seen us both running for the house! The wind blew heavy things like chairs around, and manage to flip open the door to my old trailer that doesn't always latch tightly and blow it forcefully under the rolled up awning. When I found it after the storm, lots of rain had blown in there, so that was a job to get that mopped up. If I had known such a storm was on the way, I would have parked my new truck under the shelter, as I worried about it in case the hail got any bigger----thank heavens it didn't, but it came down for quite a while in a driving wind. Saranac Lake, a bit south of us from here, probably got socked with a violent-sounding thunderstorm. Molly and I held our breath, hoping it would stay south, and it did!
Follow-up doc's appointment today to check on blood pressure and see if there is anything more I can do about the high cholesterol counts. I have lost about 7 pounds since I began with the new blood pressure meds and a new diet! All if that breathlessness and morning coughing I was experiencing was apparently related to my blowing up like a wood tick because of the Norvasc medication, thank heavens! That has gone, and my lungs feel normal again. I refuse to be on a treadmill of meds and more meds as I get older, and my goal is to be free of all of them, if I am able.
Time to get moving here, read yesterday's posts and my email, get dressed and head out the door. Coffee is hot and the heater is on in here, so c'mon in and tell us about your plans and tribulations. (What are tribulations, anyway?? Something adverse, I guess, as it is always used with 'trials and tribulations.' Guess I'll look it up when I get off here!)
Happy Wednesday everyone!
