COOLER, CLEAR TUESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

COOLER, CLEAR TUESDAY

GOOD MORNING ALL!

What fun reading everyone's posts from yesterday! Many seem to make it to the coffee table, and it makes me feel 'connected' and gives me confidence as I anticipate my upcoming retirement. After 48 years of teaching, it's scary to think of its being over.

It's a cooler morning, about 45 degrees, but the sky is bright and crispy clear with the remnants of a bright moon. Molly and I had a nice sleep in the trailer, listening to the peepers all the way down at the pond whose symphonic voices made it all the way up here and came through our open windows by my bed. That sound has always been so comforting to me each spring of my life.

My boy who was arrested on Friday is suspended for 5 days, and nobody seems to know what will be the next step to help him control his anger from here. The legally blind boy whom he assaulted, and who has been his nemesis for years at Middle School, is none the worse for wear. Most believe he is totally innocent in this incident, but I believe otherwise. He is a sneaky little creep who loves to torment the assaulter with snide remarks and hurtful comments. Of course, no amount of such triggers warrant the violent behavior which erupted. Witness the arrest of a guy who decided that a car bomb would be acceptible in Times Square to alleviate his anger at whatever.

My obese girl came back, was having panic attacks all morning as she adjusted to being back where she is being held accountable for herself rather than having her mother baby her 24 hours a day. She got over it and put in a fairly good day after I told her, pretty much, to buck up and put on her big girl panties! That made her laugh and think about what she was doing to herself!

So on we go toward the final days, and the beginning of a new career for me----living as a camper with NO SCHEDULE!

Coffee is hot now and ready to be shared. I will look forward to hearing from you all when I get home from school this afternoon. Happy Tuesday!

Good morning ladies....from hot, humid Florida. Rain is expected later today, and I hope it will usher in some of that cooler, drier weather. It feels like July already. I had to turn on the AC so I could breathe...can't take this heat & humidity.

But here I'm stuck for the time being. If it's not one thing, it's another. The RV is fixed and ready to roll. :D But, my body is not. Seems like every dr. appt. I had has had a recall that will keep me grounded here for the next month at least.

So, as I work to whip my body back into shape, I'll have to rely on the rest of you for my travel fix. Recent posts reveal you are up to the task, as I have been enjoying all your adventures whether at home or on the road.

I've decided to use my time to start up a blog. Of course there's nothing on it yet, except an initial set-up, but hopefully soon I'll do something fun.

Enjoy your day....and post pictures of your adventures for those of us in limbo, ok?

Sorry to hear about your body problems. Knowing you, everything will work out fine.

Of course we will miss all of your travelling photos, but I know your blog will be something really special.

I'm up early for me because I couldn't sleep last night. I've been thinking of all I have to do before leaving for my camp host job next Monday. I will be away from home for at least four months. It's the same place I worked last summer, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Good-morning !!! One morning, I thought I would get on really early,(5:30 a.m) and say my good-mornings, I couldn't get on, for some reason. I could go anywhere else, but not here. Just wasn't meant to be. Tried one more time and heeeerrreee I am :P

Soos, I so enjoy your morning greetings. I can visualize every scene in my head, you certainly have a way with words. So glad, all your indecision is all over and you are retiring, I have no doubts that you will be plenty busy, with all the things you want to do. I'd love to get up to the Ruskus , for your retirement party. You deserve such a big party, as it was so hard for you to make this decision, so stressful for you. You'll see it WILL BE THE BEST THING YOU'VE DONE FOR YOURSELF, IN YEARS.

Liz, I am so glad your r.v. is fixed, BUT I hate to hear of problems in the health area, hopefully not real serious ones, that you can't fix, with change of diet, etc. You're in my prayers !!

Beautiful day here this morning, Maggie and I, managed a small walk. To many roaming animals, to do a big walk here anymore. We have a hill, that going up and down several times, gives you a work out of sorts. IF I can ever get the work situated here, (depending on neighbor boys for some of it, makes for a waiting game,) Maggie and I, plan to check out some of the forest parks around here, where we can enjoy some walks. There will be a drive through to make sure there is plenty of places for these walks.

Other then work, and some dr. test, they think of more as each year passes, nothing exceptional happening here. We did not get the weather that was forecast for this area Sunday, our part of the storm, must have been dumped over in the middle of Tn. What a terrible situation that is. I had friends there for a bowling tournament and they got stuck, could not get home. Hotel rooms were getting short, time they tried to get one.

I have a lot of catching up to do on here, but not sure I can read much this morning, several jobs going, laundry and cleaning the kitchen, and must dust furniture, no one can tell the true color of it

Have a great day everyone,

Safe and Happy travels

Morning all. Have been on a decent walk - of course, Peaches argues about what decent is - not as long as some and she prefers those. But she was thrilled that we saw dozens and dozens of squirrels and chipmunks. She never fails to try to chase them. I think she's trying to figure out how to climb the trees like they do.

Then I've been working with some people from my hs graduating class on trying to get together this year. It's our 40th since graduating and nothing was planned - so we're looking to do a not formal gtg this fall. I picked the date this morning - so hopefully I can get there :) I hope to visit my old place of employment in WI as well as my sis and bil in WI, then down to the Chicago area for the reunion (or vice versa) - It'll be the first weekend of Oct - so I hope to mix in some fall colors before returning south.

Liz, you do what you have to do to make yourself 100% so that you can keep doing all the traveling. One more month of staying around home is nothing in the scope of things. My thoughts are with you.

I've arranged to have honey wagon service for Jean's rig. They're supposed to come today - waiting for the phone call. I sure hope I don't have to just sit and wait all day - but her tanks need emptying and this was the easiest way. I unhook and go dump as necessary, so no problem here.

Have a great day all-
Beth

Okay...I had a long post...I thought...thought I would sneak back in here while the kids are having a snack.

So we are doing well and keeping busy. Baseball season is upon us. SO that takes up the weekends.

The trailer is still in the shop, waiting on the new window to come in...they said it would take 3-4 weeks for it to come in. Still looking at summer plans, trying to workout campouts with friends. Which I am finding is hard, as they are tent campers and finding places that fit our RV is hard as we need 34 ft. I told DH it will be nice to downsize in a 5 years, as we will be down to just one child and will not need a trailer as large.

Well I can't make a long post this time.
Had a great time reading and catching up on all that you have been doing.

Still morning here, for the next 45 mins. at least. Another rainy day. I believe it's a mirror of yesterday's forecast so that means sideways rain and small hail at some point. As I took Choco out this morning to do his thing I could easily see my breath! Oh, and Choco is doing better. No vomiting, ate 1/2 can of the low fat food my vet sent home with me. He doesn't get canned food so he was surprised, but did eat every bit of it and so far he's tollerating it.

I also have been on the phone to my BIL as my baby sister, Pam, is in the hospital. Just over a week ago, when we last spoke, she had set up a Dr appt for this Friday to get checked out as she was extremely tired. She has asthma as well as a bad back which causes pain down her one leg. Has had that since high school days when she had to wear a back brace and sleep flat on the floor! Her overweight issue is causing/has exasperated many of her issues. Anyway, they found she has high levels of calcium in her blood and also found a spot on her liver which they biopsied on Monday. No results as of yet. So all prayers and good thoughts going her way and to her family will be much appreciated.

I'm doing laundry but that's all I have planned for the day.

Liz, glad you are taking care of YOU. I look forward to reading your blog. How neat!
Hugs to all the forum sisters, especially for those who are hurting or in need.

HELLO SISTAHS!

Well all my intentions of being able to say good morning went by the wayside again this morning. Had plenty of time to do a "morning coffee post" until I got in here and started reading and trying to catch up from yesterday. ~sigh~

Boy I sure do wish we could be in upstate NY when Soos does her last day. What a freaking retirement party that would be if we could all be there!

Did laundry yesterday. YUCK Had 5 regular washers going and 2 of the biggie ones for our blankets. They only had 2 biggie washers so we didn't wash out our sleeping bags. They will have to wait. Today we are going to St George, Kelly and I both need to get hair cuts and we will buy our groceries over there too. The cost is so much lower there rather than here in Kanab. The prices here in Kanab are horribly high so it's worth the cost of the gas to buy in St George. And the cost of gas here in Kanab is $3.24.9!!! What a difference from Page where gas was $2.91.9 and it's $2.84.9 in Flagstaff. Get out here in these small towns and they got ya right by the pocket!! OUCH While in St George we are gonna go to our fave Chinese restaurant and make oinks of ourselves. We have really missed that restaurant!!! But I'll tell ya the temptation to go to Golden Corral is strong too.

Shade will be getting her bath either tonight or more than likely tomorrow morning before we check out of the motel and head for the Lodge. Looking forward to getting up there but with a tiny bit of trepidation too. Not knowing 'what' will be our living arrangements for now is causing slight butterflies in my tummy.

Ok, enough of this. Need to get around and ready to head for St George. Need to repack our clean laundry in the trailer. We need the back end of the Blazer cleaned out so that we have room to put the cooler back in there and have room for groceries. Our work is never done! ;)

Ya'll have a great day, stay safe and I'll see if I can maybe actually do a 'good morning' post tomorrow.

Love to all
