And that was Molly's and my walk on April 29, 2010, after most of our snow had melted in the warmth of the sun. It took me a while to try out this new way to post pictures, and now let's see how they look!

Soos, those are just wonderful pictures! What an awesome place to live! I envy you -- when the weather is cooperative and bug-less. Don't know if you'd ever get me out of the trailer/house once the mosquitos show up. Yup, I'm a wimp through and through! But I love seeing where you call home. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like Spring has finally sprung up there! Beautiful pictures.

The pond is always beautiful Soos, thanks!

For those of you in shock that there is still snow there,.... Soos is at a higher elevation than I am and although we are only about 35-40 miles apart "as the crow flies" I haven't had snow for more than a month. Also Soos just got dumped on with extra snow in our spring storm earlier this week. We are always comparing temperatures and snowfalls,... there is usually anywhere from 10-15° difference with it warmer here in the Lake Champlain Valley. The beauty of Soosie's property makes it always a fun place to camp. And,... the wild blueberries are to die for! :D Temp here at my place is supposed to hit 75° today.

Life is good here, we're celebrating a weekend of relaxing here at home -- which is a gift to me, as I'm a real home-body. A few chores to do though. Going to fix mac and cheese for supper, my grandmother's recipe with Cabot cheddar cheese. Mmmm... looking forward to it.

Hope all are having a great day!

It does seem that the more we travel the more we look at our own surroundings with new eyes and "see" the beauty around us. Then again Soo's land starts farther up on the beautiful scale than SW Ohio. :D

Beautiful pictures of a delightful spring walk, Soos. I didn't get one today, so yours was great. Interesting turtle nest.

Nancy, there's not any better than Cabot cheddar...your mac & cheese sounds really good, but alas not on my current "get the cholesterol count down diet."

Soos, I loved the pics of all the new growth, lichen and moss, my favorite pic, for some unknown reason, it really caught my eye, really nice picture. Looks like you had a great walk and you really got some good pictures for all of us to really see your walk and what you saw there.

Thank you,
Carol

Really enjoyed seeing the turtles nest. I think of all the wildlife I've seen firsthand, I've not seen a turtle nest before. How cool! Thanks, as always, Soos! :D
