THURSDAY WITH A WARMING TREND

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

THURSDAY WITH A WARMING TREND

Postby Nasoosie » Thu Apr 29, 2010 4:20 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

We had some snow meltage yesterday afternoon, but it went down to below freezing again last night. Today, if the sun comes out, we should be back to spring soon! They are predicting temps in the 70s by the weekend, and I can't wait!

I wrote my letter of resignation for the purpose of retiring yesterday, and will hold it until my friend on the teachers' association gets back from a meeting she's attending this week, so she can make sure I worded it properly. It somehow makes it a very done deal when I see it in black and white! The decision-making is over, and now comes the planning phase, with so much less stress than most summers and falls have been for me since I turned 4-years-old------NO MORE SCHOOL!!!!

I got my wiring in the truck cap finished yesterday, so now I can re-stock that little camper with the 'necessities' I have accrued for it over the winter. I am going to call my RV dealer today and ask if the Duro tire company will reimburse me for those rotten tires rather than replace them again, and I will put that money towards new tires from a more reputable company. We shall see how that goes. I need good tires by Memorial Day weekend so I can keep my camping reservation at the local KOA.

My main student has been absent all week, and when I threatened to go to her house to see what is up with her, the teacher-in-charge finally called a social worker to go find out. Apparently she might have a strep infection, caught from a student in the room next to ours, and has been festering at home for days without seeing a doctor! Good grief! They were going to try to get her to a doc yesterday, and I certainly hope they do. The mother of this girl is less mentally capable than her daughter, if that's possible. How she got permission to have the daughter returned to her after a few years of foster care is beyond me.

Coffee is hot, so stop by and tell us about your day. I will have tofinish reading posts when I get to school, as I need to take a bath now----have a fun day, you all.

Happy Thursday!

Happy travels!

48* in central FL today, but will warm up to the mid-80s. Next week they're predicting mid 90s...yikes! Hope all is ready for me to leave by the end of next week....my allergies are really kicking in too.

Soos, I know you're ready to get that resignation notice over so you can celebrate. Are you planning to go to FL for the winter? Think about if you want to caravan down there in early Oct.

Thought about taking the kayak back to Silver River today, but think I'll take Roe this morning instead and hike one of the trails at the state park. Roe hasn't been on a real hike since his paw is better.

Congratulations, Cedar, on your new wheels. It'll be good to have two options for towing your TT. Those beautiful spring days are coming!

Good afternoon ladies.

Thought I would take a few minutes before heading off to work to drop in. This week we have been working from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. as the carnival is open from 5 to 10. We have long days on Saturday and Sunday. The weather here in Wenatchee has been sunny and warm but with lots of wind.

Yesterday we had a special treat for lunch...one of the ladies who travels with the carnival is Mexican so made us homemade enchiladas, spanish rice and refried beans. It was delicious.

Life is going well for us on the carnival circuit. Next week we move to Sequim, WA which is on the coast. We have been told to expect lots of rain and wind.

Hope everyone is having a great day.
