WARMER TUESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WARMER TUESDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Tue Apr 20, 2010 4:29 am

GOOD MORNING, ALL!!

As for me, although I have only 3 school days this week, I can't call going to the doctor's relaxing by any stretch of the imagination! Doctors always give me HUGE stress! But, it's a necessary yearly event to keep check on my mummifying body!

It's above freezing here today, and still raining. Yesterday afternoon it got nice out, and Molly and I went for a nice walk on my woods trails. I do wish I hadn't fallen over that huge white pine and broken my little finger, but oh well! That one has been broken quite a few times in its life! My whole hand is quite swollen today and I can't type any "Ps" with it this morning!

I made some coffee, and I am drinking it out of my new Lily and Hope mug that arrived yesterday! It has my favorite pictures on it----Lily and Hope playing on one side, and Lily coming out of her winter den on the other. I love it!

Running late here, so have to make a beeline for the bathtub and then get dressed for the day at the salt mines!

Stop in and let us know what's up with you.
Happy Tuesday.

Good morning Soos, and everybody,

I'm off for my week of 6 mos. drs. appts. ....three today. I give those drs. 2 weeks of my year, April & Oct. Three appts today, starting with my GP. No coffee for me, I'm fasting as I expect he'll want blood tests. I need to get my cholesterol checked ....it was high last time & I'll ask if I should be taking meds to lower it. From there to the dentist....routine cleaning. This afternoon is the audiologist, to get my hearing aids checked & cleaned. Tomorrow I see my cardiologist, and Friday to Moffitt for oncology. Thanking God for them all, however,...they help keep me going to enjoy another year.

On a happy happy note, my new inflatable kayak arrived yesterday along with a light weight carbon paddle. Trying to squeeze some time to try it out...maybe Thursday on Orange Lake. There's a group moonlight paddle on Silver River Friday night....considering that too.

Find a way to enjoy your day, laugh a little, whatever you're doing; it is God's gift.

Good Morning All

Boy, it is not good to miss a week or two on here - so much going on, may take a while to catch up.

Sorry about your pinky Soos. That new truck of yours is awesome! I'm hoping to see a post from you by end of week that says "retirement day is......."

Happy Birthday to any I've missed. And "Welcome to the forum" to all the new members. This group is really growing.

After 6 inches of rain here in March, we've had only about half an inch so far this month. Beth and I were thinking of attending a big outdoor arts festival this weekend and guess what - heavy rain is now in the forecast. We do need the rain to clear some of this massive amount of pollen covering everything. But I must admit that all the recent sunshine has been an excellent mood elevator after all the long gloomy rainy days.

Here's to a great check-up for those heading to doctor appointments and a fun day to all others.

Well, the party is over  I leave Barbie's today and head for NE IA and Pikes Peak State Park. I have had such a great time with her!!! She took me miniature golfing after she got off work yesterday. It was the coolest course I've ever been to!!! She will post pics since I can't until I can get my computer near wifi. It's a great place to see even if you don't like mini golf...awesome sculptures!!! While Barbie was at work I walked with Rags down her bike trail into Mound and got the paper notarized that arrived via Fedex to sign over the other mh so DXH can trade it for another out in MT. Dropped it off at the True Value and had them check my mh keys for duplicates. They were so nice there! Makes me miss living in a small town. The guy made my keys, even tho I told him I had to go back home and get my money! Then he let me take the keys to try them and trusted me to come back later to pay!!! They even let Rags come in the store while he made my keys and gave me free popcorn for breakfast!!! I love this town! I got a load of laundry done and showered at Barbie's apt yesterday, so ready to get up and going. Will try to check in at the campfire tonight to let you know about my day.

Glad you got your inflatable yak, Liz! Would love to do that moonlight paddle! I like that Silver River. There are Gatorade in there, but I don't think they will chomp your yak...lol. let me know how you like your carbon paddle. Is it ergonomic like mine?.

Liz, what kind of kayak did ya get? Let me know how you like it. I like mine but it is a little heavier than I had anticipated. Guess I need to get the weights out and start working on those arm muscles!

Morning!

Slept lousey last night. I have the worse allergies this year! I finally got up and took some meds. Knocked me out for a couple hours, at least.

I have bowling this morning and then my RV friend, Jeannette, who is in town as her grandson got married last Sunday, is hoping to stop by and we'll do lunch. Jeannette is the lady, I think I told you, was running after her little dog when she got out of her RV, and tripped and went face first into the side of a parked car. Her Dr is here so she waited until arriving 3 wks later, to get checked. She is awaiting approval from her insurance for a MRI on her head/brain. I'm rather concerned for her. Also Jeannette hasn't been able to afford her meds for her diabetes and so isn't taking them. I get so frustrated with her about that, but she's Scottish, like our Sparkle, so I've learned she will do as she wants no matter.

Tomorrow I see the neurologist concerning my tremors. Some days I hardly notice I have it. Other days my right hand and leg really get to trembling.

Liz, congrats on your new kayak, and I pray for all good reports for you for your check ups.
Soos, gosh woman, it seems you just heal up from one fall and then you manage to take another! Hope that pinky gets better fast.
Carold, hope the ask situation is as such so you can go enjoy your European vacation.

Linda, safe travels to IA!

Morning all! Sorry I haven't responded to all of the great posts, but have been just really busy....I have managed to read most of them tho, so I know what's going on with the sistahs. Happy birthday to those I missed, and poor Soos, another boo boo! Girl, you're a walking disaster waiting to happen! LOL! Lenora, hope you get an answer on those tremblings, gotta be scary. Linda, I love your new house! Our first class A was a Pace Arrow and it was my favorite for the layout. A couple of GTG's, too! Diana, glad you got to meet Vickie, isn't she just the sweetest? And contrary to popular belief, so is her sidekick, Mitch.

Leaving in a few minutes for Laughlin, Nev for a week for the annual Laughlin River Run. It's a motorcycle (naturally!) run, but I'm taking Hope with the 3 fur babies and the BF is riding down with his buddies. We stay in Needles at Needles Marina Park rather than Laughlin, about 1/4 the price and quiet. We love it there, the babies get to chase ducks and we get sleep! The one CG in Laughlin is Party Palace this week. No wifi at the park, so I will be out of communication until Monday. We'll be doing day runs down to Laughlin to see the vendors, Kingman and of course a couple of ghost towns. Concert on Thursday nite, and BF always takes me to the Fri nite seafood buffet at Harrahs. Hopefully I'll get to spend a few bucks in a casino, but we're usually to busy to do much of that. Need to get together with my buddy Evie (Pooker) and do a casino tour.

Hope everyone has a great week and those on the road travel safe. Hugs to all!
