MONDAY AND MORE OF THE SAME

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY AND MORE OF THE SAME

GOOD MORNING TO EVERYONE!

I thought it felt warmer out there when I put Molly out, but, when I checked the temperature, it's still right around 32 degrees. It must be the lack of wind that is making it feel rather balmy!

I will have classes today and tomorrow, then am taking a sick day Wednesday for doctor appointments (folow up on BP and regular yearly exam with another) then school on Thursday, and Friday we have off for another of our unused snow days! Tough week I have here! We will be given another two of our unused snow days in May, one on Memorial Day weekend, which is nice for my first camping trip of the year!

Kath, many people have told me that iMacs are great laptops, but I don't know without first trying one if I could manage anything but Windows. I need to find someone with a Mac to test it out. Am so happy for you that you have something that works now, so we can stay in touch with you!

Tonight is the school board meeting where the powers-that-be will decide how much to offer us geezers to bail out of teaching, and how to label the money offered so that NY State Teachers Retirement will consider it part of this final year's salary. By tomorrow after school, I should know what I will do with the rest of my life----which, I hope, will be MANY years to come!

Coffee is hot, so sit a spell and tell us about your day. I always look forward to reading your words, and I truly feel as if I now have friends all across the country to visit, with house in tow, when I get free!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Morning!

What a glorious weekend we had here in the PNW (pacific northwest)! It's so nice to be able to get out without a coat/jacket. I had my two GDs (grand daughters) since Friday night. Left last night around 9. My daughter (flight attendant), had a layover flight to Boston and my SIL (son in law) flew out, too, so they could have a mini vacation sans kids. Next weekend we do it all over again, only this time they are flying to Maui together. Must be nice, huh? lol Anyway, I really slept well with all that exercise and warm weather. We played tennis 5 or 6 times, rode our bikes together, played basketball, then played on the Wii.

Soos, good news on your BP. Let us know how the Dr visit on Wed. goes.

Looks like allot of airlines are still grounded because of the ash issue. I feel so sorry for all those stranded travelers.

Need to clean house and grocery shop. Other than that, nothing planned but being a slug.
Have a great day everyone.

Beautiful cool morning here and supposed to only get in the low sixties, my kind of weather!

Soos, if you have always worked with windows my advice is don't get a Mac! I did and I really don't like it. Fortunately I kept my old PC which I use most of the time. Also it was good to have my trusty Dell the THREE times I had to have the MacBook I purchased replaced. It does have several features that are better but on the whole if you don't have a teenager to help you, stick with what you know. Should you get a Mac laptop get the MacBook Pro they seem to not have as many problems as the MacBook and be sure to buy the extended three year warranty.

I'm really suffering withdrawal here by not getting on the forum, but it couldn't be for a better reason! Been having a great time with Barbie! I just LOVE her!!! We are a yr apart in age and so much in common. We differ the most in food likes/dislikes. We did agree on spaghetti and salad last night so cooked my first meal in Myrtle :D I love my new home!!! We did eat different breads and salad dressings. Her mechanic friend made a house call and fixed my water leak so that saves me from going back to Forest City! Simple fix so no charge, but of course I paid him for his time and gas. Nice young man! We really like him! Don't find many young people that nice these days. And he is very smart and knows his stuff. May have to come back to visit Barbie when I need service! He's cheap so the savings would pay for the trip. Barbie wants me to stay another day, so may leave tomorrow. Would like to meet Laurie anyway and she is 3 mi from here. Not a bad place to be! On Lake Minnetonka, near a bike trail! Beautiful!!!

Hope you get the retirement offer you're hoping for, Soos! You know we all want you to retire and hit the road. You know we all want to meet you so you will be busy enough! Remember me this summer if you come through IA. I would LOVE to have a big GTG so a bunch of us could meet you! Wouldn't that be fun, girls?

Well, better eat and go for my walk with Rags. He is being very patient. It looks like another gorgeous day!
Linda, Rags, and Brutus full-timing it in our 2017 Winnebago Micro Mini, Thumbelina.

When life throws you a curve, lean into it!
