COLD RAINY SUNDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

COLD RAINY SUNDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Sun Apr 18, 2010 6:54 am

GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!!

Once again, it's grey, cold (32 degrees), misting, raining and snowing out there! It's nice and toasty inside here in the trailer with my electric oil-filled heater cranking up my electric bill! We awoke to three bunnies and two HUGE rooster turkeys out the bedside windows! Molly was vibrating with anticipation of a chase!

I went shopping at Price Chopper yesterday, and bought me fast-but-healthy stuff to eat all week, like cooked chicken bits by Tyson, salad mixin's by Dole, including a packet of nuts and berries and dressing in each bag, polluck chunks flavored either like crab or lobster to add to the salad stuff, new liquid butter spray (to avoid solid fat stuff), prepackaged bacon (raw) to zap in the microwave, egg beaters, whole wheat thin sandwich bread, and, thank heavens, there were no pistachio muffins yesterday!!! Bacon, cooked crispy with all the fat soaked out of it, isn't a really fatty food. I also got more veggie/fruit juices, the light or diet kind, to keep hydrated and get enough of that stuff.

I monitored the pressure in my blood vessels all day yesterday and recorded each down----it stayed low and normal to below normal all day, and I felt no faintness or light headedness as they said I might until I got used to having a normal condition! It's still so low this morning (although the wrist cuff I have out here is always lower than the upper arm band cuff in the house) that I might not have taken my daily pill yet. Too late---I took it first! I can't believe what a miracle drug this stuff is! Now I need to find one for high cholesterol levels, and I have tried them all, I think, over the years. My liver makes the stuff in overdrive.

No plans for today at all, other than the weekly laundry chore. Guess I won' be hanging any of it outside! I also might do some work on my porcupine quill earrings and jewelry----or NOT! I have a hard time just sitting down any longer than I have to in order to type these messages daily. I will also put on my rain gear, both jacket and pants (Frog Togs) and take Molly for a walkabout on the property.

Stop by and let us know what's up in your corner of the world. Coffee is blueberry flavored again this morning, with French Vanilla creamer topped off with fat-free half and half.

Have a good Sunday!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning ,

It will be a lazy day at home today, weather is dreary, but no rain... or ..... gawd forbid, snow! Just low clouds.

So it will be a movie here at home today,... Kath bought a new scifi movie this week. She also bought all the groceries for the next couple of weeks so we'll enjoy cornish game hens today with fresh veggies and homemade bread. Yummmm......

One more day after today to enjoy,... then back to work. But that's ok,.. the seniors have been on their senior trip and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun listening to them remember their good times in FL.

So, I'm off to cook b'fast, then do some housework and enjoy a peaceful sunday at home.

Hope those on the road are enjoying the trip and that everyone is having a great day!

Good morning one and all
I'm up way early again, don't know why I keep waking up an hour early but I do get
more done that way. However, it makes me fall asleep earlier and thats messing
up my body clock even more. Guess I'll have to force myself to stay up a little
longer into the night.
Got most of the carpet cleaned yesterday, about 3/4 is done and its almost dry.
Will push the furniture back in a couple hours and then do the rest. Pretty much
just the dining area is whats left to do and that means when I move the table
I'll have to disconnect my computer. Gotta get my computer stuff done now and
then I'll be able to finish up the carpet.
Need to clean out the car, it tends to collect mail from the mailbox and jackets
from the morning chill. Thats one habit I'd like to break but I need to learn not
to be in such a rush all the time. I know for a fact, I've got 3 jackets out there.
(a heavy one, a spring one and a windbreaker).
Thats just about got my day covered, after that its relax in front of the tv with
my crochet in my lap.
Forgot to get coffee at the store yesterday so the morning coffee is International
Delights, french vanilla and its totally yummy although expensive to be chugging
down all morning long. One tiny trip to the store today just for coffee!
Enjoy your weekend and I'll hope for good weather for you. Be safe.

I have a lot of catching up to do on here once I get time. Having a ball with Barbie in MN! LOVE HER!!! We have really hit it off and I'm sure she will be a forever friend! No time for details now, but we are gtg with Laurie today and Camping World, Walmart, and maybe mini golf. A guy Barbie knows was at the drive in where we sat outside and ate last night is coming over later to find my water leak and fix it so I don't have to head back to Forest City. And he works cheap! My kind of mechanic! Will check in soon!
Linda, Rags, and Brutus full-timing it in our 2017 Winnebago Micro Mini, Thumbelina.

Morning! It's 39 and overcast here but suppose to be clear and about 65 this afternoon....pretty much normal spring weather and also the reason that I too have several coats, jackets and sweaters in the back seat of my car and on the coat rack in my office! You're not alone Ava!

Really not a lot on the agenda today. I have to wash the kitchen floor so am going to do that this morning while my ankle still feels pretty good. The dr. made a cast of my foot on Wednesday and I should be getting an orthotic in a couple of weeks....hopefully it helps. I'm trying a recipe for a new herb bread and it's mixing in the breadmaker and Dennis is out tinkering around with his new smoker and is going to do a brisket....so I don't have to worry about supper...couple of baked potatoes and a salad and I'll be good to go. I need to do a little internet shopping. Have a wedding on June 5th and my old "marry 'em and bury 'em" outfit is looking a little dated. I went shopping yesterday and didn't see one thing that I liked. All I want is a nice top to wear with my black dress slacks (which I'm going to have to shorten because I can't wear heels anymore!) and just about everything I saw looks like a maternity top in psychedelic prints or really low necklines and sleeveless. Isn't there a happy medium between teeny bopper styles and nursing home attire?

Well...I'd better get to the kitchen floor. Washed all the rugs last week and never did get to the floor...it's a little sticky in a couple places!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good morning all!

It's looking to be a glorious day here with temps in the mid-70s. Yesterday was warmer & I spent a major chunk of it geocaching with a friend. After attending the RVW Convention last October I've gotten back into it & thoroughly enjoy it. It's a great way to be outdoors and see parts of your town (and other places) you didn't know existed before. Yesterday was a banner day here -- found 22 caches! It's really quite addicitive and inexpensive, once you get a hand-held GPS (your car GPS doesn't work).

Today I'm going to get everything done that got ignored yesterday. I'm heading over to my trailer (it's stored nearby) to do a little nesting in preparation for my big trip this summer. I want to put carpet in the under-seat storage areas and see if I can get my portable satellite dish stored in the outside storage so it's not taking up space inside. And I may see about insulating my water pump a bit. It makes a terrible racket, mostly because of how it's installed. I'd like to see if I can take care of it instead of getting someone else to do the job. Can't be that hard, right? ;)

Gotta hit the grocery store for the week's rations, do some laundry, and then get the lawn mowed -- all 300 square feet of it. With the nice weather returning the St. Augustine has awakened and I'll be mowing weekly now. But there are about 8 caches that are on my route that are screaming to be found. So we'll see if I can add to my numbers today. Guess you could say that a little addicted right now.

Hope everyone has a great day with whatever you do!
