Yes that bouquet is just gorgeous! My friends son is getting married June 5th and they are going to the florist next week...I emailed the picture of it to the bride this morning. You know...nothing like having one more person else stick their nose into your wedding plans!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Your Candi is just gorgeous and what a neat couple they make. Mom did a great job. My fav pix was the one of Candi in front of the mansion. It's always a little sad when our babies do their own thing isn't it?? What color was your dress?

My daughter, SIL and their 2 Mo. old boy/girl twin babies (my first and only grandbabies) live 4 hours away. I just got back from
their house. It's so different visiting them with a houseful of fun and sweet babies!! Guess what - your daughther's new house will be just another place you can take your MH to.

What a beautiful bride. I'm sure the mother of the bride was as well, had we been able to see a picture. We do have our imaginations though. ;) :D I loved the dress. It seemed to have fit right in with the plantation theme. The picture in front of the "house" is fantastic. Sit back and relax now, you've earned it. Thanks for sharing the DAY with us. Linda

Oh, I saw the picture of her and I gasped. She is SUCH a beautiful bride. And the groom looks so happy (and lucky).

What a special day you had.

I remember back when you posted pictures of her wedding gown. And way back when you told us she was engaged and how much there was to do to get ready. Well, WOW. There's nothing else to say - all the planning, and that setting, and your beautiful daughter and handsome new son-in-law - all that work paid off. Just wonderful.

Thank all of you my friends from the forum for your lovely comments about my pics. This day has been a long time coming. I am glad she waited until she was as sure as you can be about someone in todays times. Candi' will have a birthday June 6th where she will turn 30!! I think she is great looking to be 30. Of course, she will always be mama's baby
I am finally getting caught up on my rest. The last two weeks were unreal with all the places we had to be and all the last minute things we had to do. But everything went off without a hitch. Now the only thing is I have 25 pictures picked out of the 908 the photographer snapped and my mama's book can only have 20 in it. Decisions, decisions, decisions
Cedar you asked what Houmas House was and if it was in my family. Don't I wish!!! Houmas House is known as the "Jewel of the Mississippi", it is an antebellum plantation mansion and grounds located on the Mississippi River below Baton Rouge. I believe it is on the National Registry of historical homes.

..

Being the Dufus that I am, I had to know the derivation of the word antebellum.
I knew what it meant (sort of - I thought it referenced only the Civil War, which is does not); I wanted to know where it came from.

[Latin ante bellum : ante, before + bellum, war.]

Now we all know, but probably don't care... :D

Yes, Mitch the word means "before war" and the war they were talking about was the Civil War where many of the beautiful mansions were burned to the ground by those "damn yankees"

Except for Tara, where that damn Yankee fondled her Mother's earbobs...but Scarlett took care of him in short order!
