Good Saturday morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Saturday morning

Postby avalen » Sat Apr 17, 2010 6:40 am

good morning ladies
I'm up way early, especially for a saturday! Woke up at 3, and was just wide
awake, tossed and turned a little bit and finally decided I can always take a
nap later.
Soos, what a scary day for you with all the swelling goin on, good that you
went to urgentcare. You might as well use some of your sick time, you earned
it, use it. In our school district we don't get ANY of ours if we quit before we
have 10 years, and after 10 years we only get a third. I really see no reason
why a person shouldn't get 100% of what they earned.
Weekly chores today, maybe some weeds pulled and a good sweeping on the
patio, definately going to get a little carpet cleaning done that I didn't get to
do last weekend.
Coffee is on and I'm having an omelet for breakfast.
Enjoy your weekend

GOOD MORNING AVA, AND ALL!

Thanks for the coffee and eggs!

Dawn broke with heavy rain which soon turned to heavy snow. Right now, we are between precipitation! It's about 35 degrees here, so we could get mixture of stuff all day.

I'm trying to decide what to do on this nasty day. I could go inside and get some sorting of my 'stuff' done. ACK! Or I could get into my nice new truck and travel to the big city for some grocery shopping, and some browsing shopping at Walmart. And I could stop at my RV dealer's to see if the price of the trailer I wanted has come down any! HAHAHAHAHA! OR, I could just stay right out here and reorganize my storage cabinets where it's nice and small and warm. OR, I could call my daughter and see what plans they have for the day. I could go inside and take a nice long, hot, deep bath and make a nice hot wood fire and do something in there....maybe make some new porcupine quill earrings. I got all my stuff out to do that over my vacation, but never got to it. Or I could take everything out of my bathroom and get it ready for me to paint the old wood-paneled walls in there. Molly and I would love to go for a walk, if it stops doing wet stuff from the sky long enough for that to happen. Sigh-----lots of possibilities!

Anyway, for now, it's coffee time and I am looking forward to hearing from a bunch of you campers/would-be-campers. So pull up a chair and sit down and let us know what's going on in your world. Holy Cow! I see an opening in the clouds-----guess I need to get my boots on and take Molly for our walk NOW!

Happy Saturday, all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning! Jess and I had our early morning walk. Because of a few weekend swaps, Bobby's been with his dad the last four weekends. I miss hanging out with him on the weekends. :( But, the trees are blooming, the tulips are out. You know what that means....yardwork.

I'll be meeting some Solo Sam people for the first time today. Hopefully, set up some trips for the summer. Other than that, I'll be working in and around the house and finishing up some homework. If I keep at it, I'll graduate and be ready to teach before I retire! Well, hopefully sooner than that, but it seems like it's taking forever (not to mention draining all my savings). But, it's the journey, not the destination. Right? Right?

Hope you all have a happy, healthy, relaxing, lotto winning, fantastic day!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Yep we're still alive. I know, I know but my head has been up my azz. In a way it was really good to pull back from the forum as it seemed like I was living on it 24/7. So to tell ya all the truth it's been nice taking a "vacation" from it all. Now that's not to say that I didn't think about ya'll and worry too. Everyone has been in my prayers, a few of you I've worried more about than some of the others.

Soos!!! That's really scary about the BP meds. If you remember I went thru that last year at the lodge and ended up in the hospital for a few days. Gads I puffed up like a melon! All because the meds weren't right for me. And I HAD ASKED the Doc who prescribed them if they could be causing my problems? ie, swelling and dropping off to sleep right smack in the middle of something. Nope, she said! Well it was the BP meds. After the Doc in the hospital put me on new meds the swelling and sleeping problems disappeared. Why in the he77 do Docs not want to listen to you and not admit that just maybe they put you on the wrong stuff?

Kelly and I are now in Page AZ. OMG! It's so much nicer up here. Cooler, no dust and dirt blowing constantly so now things will stay 'clean', including us! I think Shade is maybe the only one that might be bummed out as she has NO grass to P on, just sand. But she is a really adaptable dog and will go P wherever she has to. Just takes her a few extra minutes to find that just right spot. The sites here for tenters are super nice. Ours has a nice shade tree in it so we have the screen house set under it to shade us mid morning thru to the afternoon. The tent sites are situated in such a way that they are on the side and each one has a board fence around it. So we don't have to worry about anyone taking a 'short cut' thru our site. And best things are that the water is nice and drinkable and that we are only a short walk from the bathrooms! YAY! Super clean bathrooms and showers, 3 showers n 4 stalls and all the toilets have seats! ;) We stayed here last year when we first got to AZ so we knew we were coming to a nice campground. We are thinking that maybe we will pack up and leave here on the 3rd or 4th to spend a nite or two in Kanab. In that way we wont have to bust butt on the 5th to break camp and get to the lodge before dark. Even is the lodge is only about 3 or 4hrs away.

Kinda took the longer way to get here to Page. Stopped and visited with a couple of friends on the way here it was great to see them and catch up on things. Other than that there is nothing exciting going on with us. We are just being homebodies even if it is in a campground! Can;t remember if I posted that we had to get Kelly a new tent or not? The zipper in her old one totally crapped out on her. But the new one is bigger than the old one. It's an 8x10, tall enough for her to stand up in and she is loving the extra room! Tenting like this is like living in an efficiency apt. We have 2 bedrooms and a living room/kitchen combo. Only the bathroom is missing. But that will be coming soon enough.

Ok enough for now. Hope everyone has a super great day and makes sure that they are doing so safely!!!

Love to all

Good afternoon all. Nice to hear from you Echo. Was getting a bit concerned. Glad you and Kelly are enjoying yourselves in a campground that you like.

Not much going on here. The weather is yucky, cool and raining on and off. The rain will at least wash away the hugh amount of pollen that is laying around. The pollen count was off the charts this week it was that high. My oldest puppy had another accident last night so am finishing up on laundry while reading the goings on here.
Take care all and travel safely. Linda

Echo...sounds like out first tent after we had the 2 boys. We ordered this 10x 16 foot tent..that had 3 rooms. It was nice to have the 2 rooms and the side and the center room for all the stuff...especially on those rainy days. Used that tent for a good 12-13 years then moved to a pop up..then to the 31 ft trailer we have now.

Okay...today..well believe it or not...NOTHING..I know you are all shocked and spit the coffee all over you computers. The boys are all off camping or with friends and the girls have no activities.

Which is actually a good thing...as next week will be crazy...getting ready for all the out of town company that will be coming up for Ethan's Eagle Court of Honor..we have the Court of Honor stuff to get done. Dutch oven desserts to be made. We have to get the extra dutch ovens from the troop. After all it is an Eagle scout thing...why have buy the desserts. So I think we are making 3-4 of them.

So I think I will take this quiet weekend to get DS Trail to Eagle Scrapbook done...it goes from when he started scouts as Tiger Cub in Sept of 97..to present..the Court of Honor pages will be in there..but blank.

Well, we're still here in the Asheville area and planning to leave on Monday for NC. Hopefully our flight to Europe won't be cancelled, but we'll just have to wait and see what this volcanic ash does. Echo, are you in the same campground as the last time, near Lake Powell. tGM LOVES Page and that area. Jemek, enjoy your nothing day, I know that don't come around too often. carold

I just assumed it meant "the General Manager" or something on that order... we can always make guesses until we find out for sure!

I think HE requested that he be referred to as The Great Man! And who are we to argue, they have "experienced" all 50 states, I think she said.
