New Partial Floor

Postby sunshinecruiserTN » Sat Apr 10, 2010 7:08 pm

I've spent the last three days replacing the carpet in Somewhere down the hall into the bedroom. This area is 29" W X 15'. I had to keep the carpet in the bedroom for the slide to operate. It took forever and a lot of strength to pull the dang carpet up. It was put down with a zillion staples. Thank goodness for needlenose pliers and knee pads. After the carpet was out I put self-stick primer to get ready for the tiles. It was quite a job but it looks so much better and smells better. I won't do anymore, however. That's it for my HGTV skills. Now I need to vacation. Great job! Hope wants to know when you're available to do her living/dining room??? She really hates the carpeting!

Thanks everyone. I'm really liking it better.

Sharon, wait till I tackle my living/dining. If I ever do it. Not impossible but hard, sweaty work. LOL
