The park is open 365 days a year. Caretakers reside on the premises.

The park has historical significance: Fort Nibletts, a Civil War fort, once stood where the current park exists.

Vickie, I think you need to adapt my rules of fishing - "If you catch them, you clean them". Actually, learned those rules as a child. Guess how little fishing I did? My ex didn't mind cleaning my fish, so I did a little more fishing then, but usually I was the one out just enjoying the scenery and the day and would bring a book to pass the time.

That was my Dad's rule, if you went fishing you helped clean fish. My sister and I both like to fish but there is usually a debate over each fish about whether we wanted to clean it. A lot of our fishing is catch and release. We might keep enough for supper. Fresh caught fish is so much better than fish that has been frozen.
