Getting pictures to my posts

I must be the dufuss in this bunch. I went into Maintenance and found out how to get my pictures into Photobucket which I did and also have the IMG tag. But how do I get them to my post. If I click on the "Upload Attachments" button down at the bottom, the screen will bring up the file into but I can't get anything to type into it. What am I doing wrong?

I'm going to answer here - but for questions like this - there is a sticky about posting pictures in the maintenance room - and by keeping them there - the next people with the question will find the answer easier

OK - when the picture is loaded to photobucket, you need to take the CODE - to insert into the thread, copy and paste the IMG code they have - and that code, after published, will show the picture in your post.

Come back to this thread if you have trouble or can't find the code and we'll help you with it.

Edited to add- no you aren't a dufuss - there is a sticky on this because it's a common problem Then again, aren't we all dufusses sometimes? No comment necessary from Mitch or Vickie

Well, I tried again to get it to post on Pets. Did my post, typed in the Code but nothing came of it. Right clicked on the IMG code and hit copy but don't know where it went. Will keep working on it.

You need to "copy" from Photobucket then go to your post and "Paste". Keep trying - we ALL had problems.

After you hit <COPY>, come back here, start your post, and hit <PASTE> (CTRL-V)

YEAAAAA, that did it. Here they are. Sassy and Tessa. Sassy (8yrs) is on the left and Tessa (7 yrs in June) is on the right. They are mother (Sassy) and daughter and completely opposite in their personalities. Sassy is high energy, loves to go for walks, has a hunters instinct and is all over the place following scents. Tessa is more laid back, prefers to slleep, just walks along on our walks and doesn't show the same interest that Sassy has in investigating things as much. But she sure does love to go wading in lakes, rivers, streams etc. She was shown to her Championship title by the breeder who I got her from about a year before I adopted her. Both of these dogs are adopted from the same breeder. This picture was taken at Maple Ridge Resort in Michigan's Upper Peninsula on our "spring break" last week.
