Sorry, can't do it then, gets me home to late in the year and I truly don't want a repeat of last years drive back here to SoCal. Plan it for when the most ladies can be there and I'll make it if I can. Not trying to be a Sparkle Curmudgeon or to make waves, but you guys remember what I went thru. Not doing that again, no sireee! Hope's already po'd that I would have her across the Colorado River after Sept!

Any date would be OK for me unless something hits the fan around here. I can't tell you what I'm doing tomorrow.

Hello,

I might be able to make it, too. It is a little early for me to plan, but I will mark it down for a "maybe" in september.

Carolyn, I'm glad you might be able to join us too.

Sarah, I was thinking that Sept. would be after the heat of summer but before the cooler weather that we had in TN last Oct.

I think if we say Mon. 13th thru Fri. 17th and those that want to stay that weekend could do so also, provided they sites/cabins are available. Kinda like Acadianmom said, depending on any hurricanes in the Gulf, Ronnie and I may stay the weekend too, just never know. When reservations are made only the first night is non-refundable if canceled. They also said we need to reserve the sites as soon as possible because they do fill up fast, especially on weekends.

Just to clarify, you're saying 4 nights beginning on Monday, September 13 (in 9/13, OUT 9/17)??? And that time frame, we're missing the Labor Day crowds and the special event crowds you mentioned earlier that happen 2 weeks later, right? Works for me! But if you're going to be there, I'll have to re-think...I'm not sure I'll be able to handle your relentless taunting and Doo-fus-ness, not to mention your cooking.

That would be so cool, Soos... and Mitch could lay on the ground by the fire, in case you fall again while dancing around the campfire, you'll have a soft landing! :o   I'll take the pics!

Recipe is a given when I go to a GTG! And, if I have a soft place to fall, campfire dancing will be a much safer activity! Thanks for the map and the milage! I am about 160 miles north of Syracuse, so that is a long trek. BUT, if I just leave for FL from there, (and I will be on NO schedule by then!) it will be very doable and fun!

And a stop in NW TN might be in order, too! We could sample Recipe and then drive on together!

Soos, that sounds like a plan. Sampling the recipe before leaving for AR, are we sure they will make it. Who will lead, will a search party be required? Should we arrange spotters along the way? So many questions, better start planning. ;) Linda

What if we cop a big, ol' buzz from Recipe, and then dance nekkid around the pond and fall in and drown? And no one anywhere around to rescue us...that would be a sad, sad day! (well, for some, anyway...)

Hmmm, when is this again? Maybe I'd better head south a little early and ESCORT Soos & the recipe to the gtg.....just to make sure everyone gets there in one piece.
