FRIDAY NEW TRUCK DAY!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FRIDAY NEW TRUCK DAY!

GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!

It's about 38 degrees out there this morning, following a night of some violent lightning and thunderstorms that, thank heavens, just circled me and Molly out in the trailer! I had to close the blinds by the bed as she was fixated on watching the flashes which then caused her to tremble and dive under my covers! That cold front was visible at sunset, and loomed ominously in the western sky like a huge, dark wall. I was so happy when the sounds of thunder began to fade and pass us by. Yesterday turned out to be a perfect day, with sunshine and into the 70s, despite the dire warnings for rain by the weather guys!

I am due to leave my old truck----my last drive in it over the roads I have driven it on every school day for three years----at the dealership this morning to have the camper top, the bed liner, and the mud flaps transfered to the new one. I sure hope they don't have a fit when they see all the Molly hair I wasn't able to get off the back seat, but I am assuming they will want to detail it for the next owner anyway, no matter how diligently I would have cleaned it. I am leaving my old brake controler and remote starter in it for the new owners, in exchange for the labor to transfer stuff. My new truck has both of those items built in. Somebody will get a like-new 3-year old truck-----very nice and pristine shape, with less than 30,000 miles on it.

I will pick up a loaner for the day, and return at about 4:00 this afternoon to sign the papers, put the down payment on it, and do whatever I must to drive away with my new beauty! I am so excited!

For those of you who don't know yet, the Lily and Hope den cam site now has daily color videos of the two bears out of the den and playing around the new nesting tree, a huge white pine, that Lily has chosen to use for them until Hope gets strong enough to take longer hikes. Somebody donated some digital camaeras so they can follow the bears daily, and viewers can watch as Hope grows and gets stronger. I can't believe what amazing progress she has made in strength and coordination since she has been out of the den! The videos are wonderful to see! Go to the live webcam page, but don't click on the live stream any more as the camera is no longer active----instead, go to the VIDEOS button at the top of the page, and choose the dates you wish to view. I look forward each day to the latest updates on the bears.

Gotta get dressed, sort through the bags of 'stuff' I took from my old truck yesterday and toss what I no longer need. What I do need to transfer to the new truck I will put into one small bag (I hope!) I stored all my camper stuff from under the new camper top in the portable garage where the trailer was stored all winter.

I may take the time to work on covering my original valences (icky pattern) with my new sunflower material, as, so far, all I've done is temporarily pinned them up. I am hoping it won't be too hard to take them down, cut the sunflowers to fit, and use sewing glue to stick them on! Me sew??? Not very likely! So far, too, I have only funtacked my new wallpaper strips over the old icky pattern on the walls, too, and the new stuff is pre-pasted. I may or may not paste them permanently on. because, If I eventually sell the trailer (when my land in ND and MT becomes the new spot for us to harvest oil and natural gas!) I may want to revert to the original pukey stuff it came with.

Last night I was not able to get a good Wifi signal in the trailer, so I chatted for a short time with Pete on my front porch. I can't figure out how that signal is sometimes so good in the trailer, and sometimes too iffy to work. Perhaps it will be better today, and I can get on the computer now and then.

Have a good day, everybody! Pictures of new truck to follow when I am able.

Good Morning all
thanks for opening the kitchen Soos, and what a happy day for you!
Can't wait for pictures.
So glad its finally friday, have a lot planned for the weekend and I
want to "get to it" tempted to call in sick and get started but I'd
loose an hour I wouldn't get reimbursed for in sick time. But the
carpet is on the agenda for cleaning which means I have to move
the table, chairs, etc. (EVERYTHING) out. Will steamclean the
recliner as well as it can be drying out in the sun on the patio while
I do the rest.
Coffee is sure good this morning but I'll skip breakfast for a yogurt
later on and my banana too of course.
Enjoy your day and hoping everyone has good weather.

Good Morning Beautiful Ladies! Another awesome day here in SoCal! Busy day today, I'm taking the youngest GD out for an early lunch at her favorite eatery, LeMcDonalds, and then to the movies to see "How to train your Dragon". The lunch is for her, the movie is
for me. She's the only one that would go with me to see it, bless her heart. Unfortunately, can't go see the 3-D version. She saw a 3-D thing at Disney Land and freaked out when a snake came straight at her, so no 3-D for us. Oh well, at least I get to see the movie. As soon as I drop her off at home, run by my house and pick up the Chew Monster and head for Rialto to the BF's house. His HOG chapter is sponsering a poker run tomorrow to benefit the Ronald McDonald house in Loma Linda and he volunteered us to man one of the stops. We have to be there at 8:30 and it's gonna be colder than a witch's you know what. Our beautiful 80 degree days are going down tomorrow to mid 60's. Pretty cold for the bike ride there, but it's for a good cause, so guess I can do it with out to much whining.

Chewy has graduated! She has done so well that she has graduated to group classes! She'll now be in class with 4 or 5 other dogs. Jen said that we'll be switching off dogs, everyone gets to work with the other dogs and then she starts having to let strangers pet her. She's really gonna hate that! But that's one of the reasons I started this. She did really well yesterday. When we got there Jen was just finishing up another class with a rescued Doberman mix, and instead of putting on her Kujo persona, she went behind me, sat down and ignored her. I was so proud of her!! A month and a half ago it would have been all teeth, snarls and bring it on big guy, I'm ready for you! I would really like for her to get to the point that she enjoys being around people and other doggie friends and Jen said that we'll get there, it just takes time and a lot of hard work.

OK, off to shower and get packed for the trip down to Rialto, hope everyone has a good day and stay safe!

It's already after noon here, fast morning. We had a nine AM vet appointment for my big Standard Poodle Charley. He's been having a hard time getting up and down, of course this morning he was much better, maybe because I gave him pain pills and a muscle relaxer yesterday.
The vet we see also does acupressure & chiropractic work and she did some adjustments. He has to take an anti-inflammatory med for a week. :(
It's beautiful here today I like temps in the 60's!

well, I'm back, make a note...be careful what you wish for, or be tempted to.
After my shower and washing my hair this morning, I got dizzy and I really
didn't think anything of it, just.. :o whoa, what was that? I went ahead and
got ready for work as usual and the dizziness didn't go away. I kept telling
myself it was nothing, ignore it and it will go away. Anytime I moved quick
I got dizzy! :? I really thought it was all in my head and it would go
away but when I walked out to my bus to pretrip it and get it started, :o
oh crap, still dizzy! Told the dispatcher what was going on and they sent
another driver with me and I agreed after the run to go to the urgent care.
I really don't want to spend the $75 for the urgent care and I called my dr
and danged if he isn't sick today! Decided to come home, drink tons of
juice, lay down and rest and see how I feel later. Hoping its just dehydration
cause I haven't drank enough fluid over the last few days or even eaten
enough for fear of having to run to the toilet :x every ten minutes. Guess
I'm paying the price anyway. If I don't feel better tomorrow I'll spend the
money and go to the urgent care. But this is NOT fun and I hate using a
sick day to be home sick. I like to use my sick days to play "hookie"
and do something fun!
Oh well, guess it just my turn to be sick.

Oh Ava, how well I know that dizziness thing. A couple of years ago, I got up fast out of bed, as usual, and BAM, down I fell against my bureau on my way to the bathroom. I thought I had fainted, or passed out. Then, when I could stand up and look in the mirror, I checked my face and tongue and mouth to make sure I hadn't had a stroke. I laid back down for a little while, and decided it was just because I got up too fast and the blood just didn't make it to my head. I went shopping all weekend long----it was Christmas coming up-----and never thought anything more about it. Then, on a school morning, when I bent over to stoke the woodstove, I felt as if I was passing out again. I felt seasick and very dizzy, and then got scared. I managed to crawl to my sofa and rested there----called in sick.

Anyway, I ended up seeing my regular doctor, having an MRI to rule out a stroke or clot, or tumor, visiting a hearing doctor who specializes in inner ear disorders (where your balance organs are) and the best they could surmise is that I had an "inner ear distrubance of some kind." I had to pretty much stay down on my sofa all of my Christmas vacation as I was VERY dizzy if I moved. I could not tip my head backwards at all without feeling the entire room spinning. They gave me meclazine, seasickness meds, and that was about it. There are head whamming and tilting exercises they can try on you, to get any foreign objects (calcium bits, usually) in your semi-circular canals to settle out and stop bumping into your cilia in there. I have concluded I have Meniere's Disease, and will probably deal with it the rest of my life. I am way more used to being dizzy now, usually, unless I have a day when my head is stuffed or ears are plugged, and then I stumble around a lot.....but nothing like in the beginning when I had to hold onto walls to keep from falling over. I think that sometimes the atomospheric pressure can influence how I feel, also. Somebody told me to try a neti pot, which I did, and I felt as if my brains were coming out of my other nostril when I squirted the water through one nostril and out the other! I don't do that any more!

I wish you luck, but it sure sounds as if you might have an inner ear problem, too. Best to check things out, for sure. I find that if I have dizzy days now, I can drive better than I can walk! I suspect it's because I am sitting down and looking in mostly one direction with not much head moving! Keep us updated----dizziness is not fun at all.

Ava, hope it's just a sign that you need a little rest, but check it out just to be sure. You said your stomach was bothering you too for a few days. I had something just like that (stomach eww and dizziness) but it went away. But, just have everything checked. (Now I sound like my mom.)

Ava, I used to get dizzy and pass out a lot when I was younger, mostly when I got up too quick, but mine was from low blood pressure, which I still have but don't get dizzy anymore. It very well could be from being dehydrated and not eating much. Try to drink as much water (with electrolytes) as possible and eat some protein and carbs to get your energy levels up again. If that doesn't work, get in to see your doctor to see if there is something else going on. What do you think made you so sick? Flu or bad food?
