Tire pressure-duel wheels

If any of you drive a MH with dual wheels, do you keep all 4 tires at the same pressure or do the inside ones differ from the outside?
I went to another forum and searched tire pressure, but those men on there start getting so technical (talking about ambient temps etc), that it got even more confusing.

Look thru your cupboards for some stickers from the manufacturer. I finally found mine in a kitchen cupboard that says I am to use 65 lbs in the front and 80 in the rear. People at the tire store wanted me to run 80 lbs front and rear because that's what the tire says BUT because of the weight distribution I figure the manufacturer knows best. If you can't find any stickers, call the manufacturer and ask. You may need to run the same pressure in front and rear because the B is smaller than my 30' rig and the weight may be more evenly distributed.

Thanks, Karen. I'll look for any stickers. The mechanic told me what to run, but like the old lady I've become, I didn't write it down so promptly forgot. ;)

I run the recommended pressure in all tires. I'll check my owner's manual to see what it says.

Lenora, if you have 4 tires on the back (duellys), all four will be the same air pressure. Is that what you were asking? On most motorhomes, not all, the rv manufacturer recommends less air pressure in the front tires. Always check your tires cold. The tires, not you.

Unless your mechanic is an RVer, I'm not sure I would trust his suggestion. Your RV manufacturer would be a much better source of info.

The mechanic is an RVer, BUT my X said that it's too hard to try running the inside dual tires different from the outside. Tire gauges generally don't show lb by lb on the gauge. I'm thinking the mechanic told me to run at 70lbs and a bit less on the inside tires. But, then.. ;)

DH said the pressure in the duals in the back should be the same on all 4 tires. If say the ones on the inside are higher pressure they will be handling the most of the load. The point of duals is to distribute the load equally over all 4 tires. Air pressure should be checked as previously stated before they are run doun the road and get hot. If you check the pressure in cold climate check them again when you go to warmer temperatures because the pressure goes up with the temperature. We would rather run a little higher pressure in warm temperature than too low. A tire that is too low will build up heat quick when the roads get hot and cause a blow out. Too much pressure on ice or rain will reduce your traction and grip in curves. Hope this simplifys it and helps.

Yep, what Mrssissy said! Also - your rv probably does have a different pressure for the front tires and maybe that's what the person meant to tell you. That said, when my tires were replaced, they recommended using the same on front as rear - sometimes I do, sometimes I go back to the recommended from when I got it. Both work well. But as said, do not have different on the 4 rear from inside and outside.
