BAJA EARTHQUAKE?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

BAJA EARTHQUAKE?

GOOD MONDAY MORNING!

Between the Baja earthquake, and the midwest's tornadoes and other violent weather yesterday, mark me GLAD to be here in way upstate NY! I hope those of you who are traveling today will be out of all the harmful weather. It will be interesting to see how many of you felt or experienced those events, however.

This is a fast hello today, as Mandy needs her computer to get caught up on email and school work before she hits the classroom today. I'll post again when I get home and send a link to my latest pictures, too.

In the meantime, the coffee is hot, so stop by and let us know what's up in your world!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

good morning good morning
back to work today, it certainly was a SHORT long weekend, where did my
extra day go?
I'm liking this aircard even more. I can actually boot up my computer and
get on here in a matter of minutes instead of 20 to 30 on the old dialup.
I'm even learning how to manage my usage so I don't go over the 5g. Got
that all figured out.
Finished the baby afghan yesterday and got back on my rug. The rugs go
fast so I'll have that done in a matter of a couple weeks.
Hoping for no more aftershocks, although I didn't feel any of the aftershocks
so far, just the big one but that was enough excitement to last me awhile.
Don't really like the feeling that my rv is traveling down the road on its own.
Coffee is ready and a little toast to settle my tummy, the dogs will be up
soon and wanting breakfast as well.
Enjoy your day and be safe.
Somewhere with Ava and Maggie

Good morning, girls! It is a gorgeous morning here in TN! I'm not feeling shaky like yesterday morning. Guess the trauma is calming. Still have to face it this morning with animal control. We hope to leave this morning if that doesn't take long. My brother and niece have gone off to school for the day (brother is a teacher) so we said our goodbyes last night. I haven't watched the news here, but my brother said something about the earthquake. Having lived in the Mojave desert, near the San Andreas fault line, I have felt many an earthquake. Personally, I would rather be in my mh during one. Nothing to collapse on top of you and they just rock back and forth on the tires. I watched the light poles sway and the cars rocking in the parking lot where I worked one time during an earthquake. Tornadoes are quite a different story. I'm just hoping we don't drive into bad weather today. Not looking forward to those nights huddled in the public restroom this summer, but still looking forward to being there at the lake!

Have a great day! My prayers for a safe journey for those of us on the road!!!

Drizzly, breezy and chilly here in not so sunny SoCal. Is winter NEVER going to leave and stay gone here??? Supposed to be up to 80 by Friday, then down to 65 and possible rain on Sunday. Of course we have a bike ride planned for Sunday. Pre-Laughlin open house and poker run at the local HD dealer. Yeesh! Still can't believe that we didn't feel the earthquake at DD's house. That's just freaky and she's only 10 miles from here. Only thing I can figure is that she lives pretty high up and maybe only the flatlanders felt it. Not much planned for today, just the usual, off to the gym in a while for the Body Blast weight class. Hope everyone has a great day and travel safe for those of you on the road.

Good morning Everyone!! It's a beautiful day here and I have quite a few plans for the day. One just got shot down, and I am TICKED. Thought Maggie and I, might have a really nice walk earlier, but we got halfway into it and here comes a pack of dogs out of the woods. Barking and growling their heads off, and of course, Maggie, (she's so big, you know) starts growling and whining back at them. Picked her little fat butt up and we headed back to the car. Scary for a min. there, I do not relish getting bit and I was scared of there being so many of them. Once I got back into the car, I was so ticked, couldn't be scared anymore.

Now, I am trying to get back into the really nice mood I started the day with and after sounding off here and finding out what some of you are up too, maybe I can find it again. Sure hope everyone else is having a nice day. Sharon, sorry to hear you have more rain. Think we are all sick of winter and rain. When a beautiful day like this comes along, I just want to be outside, which is where I will go when I settle down some here.

Echo, I will be so happy for you all when you can move on and leave all of that wind and especially the flying sand. Have been in it like that and its not fun at all. Keep us posted ok?

Soos, have a safe trip home, glad you had a nice visit with your daughter. Your temps jumped so fast up there and actually all over, I am really afraid of what our summer is going to be like.

Have a great day everyone!!

Morning all.

Ava - unless you download lots of videos or music, you'll never, ever reach the 5 g mark.

Temps here are above normal - flowers just blooming away - squirrels are teasing Peaches - birds are teasing me. There's this little tiny bird that is LOUD - sounds like a car alarm going off - and it never shuts up. Did it learn from me?

  Beth, I have to tell you, when I was telling the BF about yours and Sparkles trip to Mexico, he asked me which one you were, and I told him the one that talked the whole time we were there...he said, "Oh yeah, that one".

Afternoon all. It's sunny now, going to be about 80. Last night there was a severe T storm warning for NE Oklahoma and SE Kansas, glad it stayed there. The puppies must have felt the weather and decided to bunk with me last night. I changed to a lighter comforter, but woke up with the sweats. I thought I was over the hot flashes, but it turned out that it was from the 5 dog night. :D  What a relief. Getting around to doing the laundry that I didn't do over the weekend.

Take acre all and safe travels. Linda

Not sure I will make it to the morning coffee, so will add more today. We made it to Effingham, IL today and staying at Camp Lakewood. We stayed here on our way south last fall and liked it. It is gravel, but on a lake and the owners are nice people...retired military. Brian is in good shape and actually walks you to your site, instead of driving a golf cart! He said he only does that when it gets so busy that he can't get back and forth fast enough, but there was a line of RV's around supper time and he was still walking them  Their business is very transient because of the location and not many campgrounds on this route. We somehow missed the severe storms...Thank you, God! I got a load of laundry done and a little walk in with the boys, down to the lake and around and out of the park a bit. Fixed myself an awesome salad and my special guacamole dip and tortilla chips for supper. I'm still full!

Broke some of the cement in the drainage area next to my brother's driveway on the way out this morning. Gave me a scare :o There was a loud crunch sound and the mh sunk! Hey...DH guided me over that way, so not my fault  We told my brother about it and he said not to worry about it. I'm sure he will fix it himself. Just don't want to lose my parking spot there ;) My brother called me after he got to work this morning and said he talked to the home owner where the dogs attacked us. He knew it was a rental property so he looked up the owner and called him to let him know what happened. The guy didn't know there were dogs there, let alone pit bulls  He asked my brother to call his realtor property mgr and tell them. They said they don't allow pets in any of their rentals, so were glad to know. They were going to give the people a 48 hr notice to get rid of the dogs. They asked my brother to let them know if the dogs were still there after that and they would give them an eviction notice. I'm happy with that. I seem to be having anxiety issues since the attack so I hope they fade soon. I think I will have a cup of camomile tea :) We hope to make it to the Moline area tomorrow. If DH would let me take a mid day nap, I could probably make it all the way to Des Moines. I tried to rest the other day on our lunch break and he wouldn't let me and just wanted to get on the road. Still thinking adult ADHD :x I'll check in sometime tomorrow.

I'm always late for this thread!!! But was a very busy day! Worked 9 hours at the office to meet a month-end deadline I forgot about! Then was late for my job at the shop and had to rush to get over there. Luckily, my first client was also late. Did two haircuts and left for a farewell party for a couple of gals from my office job. Luckily, that was just across the street from my apartment. Ate, had a cocktail, some interesting conversation and headed home and now I am very tired! But I have tomorrow off from the office job so I can relax and get some things done around here. May have to bring Buster in to the vet. He doesn't seem to be getting better at all, but not worse either. My car is also having issues in the back end now. I think it may be the shocks but it sounds like the whole back end of the car is about to fall off! Just borrowed $200 from my dad yesterday to pay my rent! Just never enough money to go around!!

Linda, I have relatives in Moline. May stop to see them when I come down to see you since it isn't too far away. Glad to hear those people are in trouble for having those dogs! Good riddance!
Carol, packs of dogs can be very dangerous! Dogs can be very nice individually but when they get in a group they get a "pack" mentality and gang up on other dogs and people like a pack of wolves. Glad you got back to your car safe and sound, if not a bit rattled.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
