I know some of us still have snow, but I saw talk of tornados on the GMA's weather report this morning.

A fellow on RV.net posted his annual Tornado Tutorial. Thought I'd pass it along ....

OK,.... I think that's ABC morning show?

This area has never had much ABC reception,... and old habits are hard to break,... I watch NBC or CBS.

Thanks! That is great info! I have a weather radio. Being that I am on the western edge of my county, I have it set also for the two counties northwest and southwest of me (where the bad weather comes from) so I have more advanced warning. I worry when I hear a bad storm in the middle of the night and don't know if it is severe or not, so now if I don't hear the radio warning come on, I know I can roll over and go back to sleep. I knew about the tornado coming thru here last year before it was even announced on the local TV stations. Of course, the power went out just after that and with the radio automatically switching from electricity to batteries, I could keep up with what was happening. I love it! (That reminds me, I need to check the batteries in it).

*I am reminded of a story on the news several years ago. There was a tornado somewhere in the midwest and afterward they interviewed some dufus (sorry Mitch) and he said "They say it is suppose to sound like a train, but I didn't hear nothin' that sounded like a train whistle blowin' ".

Thanks for posting the info. We are gearing up for tornado season now. Weather radios are great to have and not at all expensive. Linda

Hey Janet, I know what they sound like  I was just making fun of the guy they interviewed who thought it was supposed to sound like the whistle blowing instead of the train itself.

No problem! Mitch has a name for that, but I think all the ways of spelling it are taken now!

Cedar, I didn't know what GMA was either but didn't dare ask. So glad you put yourself out there to ask for me!

We could do a collection of - One brick shy of a load.
Eleven and a half pence in the shilling.
Half a bubble off plumb.
Come on, I know there are lots more out there.

One french fry short of a Happy Meal.
Ain't the sharpest pencil in the room.
