And I wish Rhett Butler would carry me up a long flight of stairs with lust on his drunken mind...
(oh, be still my beating heart...)

PS: That would be the original Rhett (Clark Gable) and NOT the sequel Rhett. He just didn't cut it.

Good afternoon everyone!

It has been rainy most all of today though the sun is taking a small peak from behind a cloud. Sure hope it sticks around for awhile. Today is my day off ~ yippee! I had planned to sleep in but woke up as Ron walked out the door and couldn't fall back asleep so crawled out of bed at 8;15 this morning. I spent some time reading and praying and planning my day. I then answered a few emails and then posted another blog post this time with pictures of where we are at. It seemed to take forever but only two hours to get six pictures on my blog. Ron sent me some pictures from his phone of us in our uniforms and the areas we see from the ticket booth. I got them and saved them on the computer but heck if I could find them anywhere. I then downloaded the pictures off our camera. There were 300 of them. I thought that when I downloaded the pictures from our trips last Fall I had deleted them from the camera ~ NOT! On the tail end of those pictures Ron had taken some of where we are parked so I wrote a blog about "the boneyard" (that's what carnies call where you park all your rigs) and posted six pictures on the blog. I could not believe that whole process took me over two hours. I have a very slow connection here and not sure why. I have a Verizon air card along with Verizon cell phone and the cell phone has 5 bars of service but the air card only has two...go figure.

About that time Ron came in for lunch so I made him a sandwich and we talked about his morning. I am trying to focus more on him and less on the computer when he is around ~ don't want him feeling neglected here. After Ron finished his lunch and headed back to work, Diane came and got me and we went to Walmart to do some grocery shopping. I am learning how to buy stuff without running out between places. We don't have a toad with us and once the motor home is parked in the boneyard it is there for the duration. There are company vans that there are drivers for to go places in the evenings but not so much during the day time. Anyway, went to Walmart, spent $97 and that should get us through the next two weeks along with the stuff we already had on hand. I came back and put all the stuff away and now am on the computer waiting for Diane to go do laundry. I am learning what it is like to be dependent on others ~ not an easy thing for this impatient woman.

The sun is still shining so I think I will go for a little walk. Hope you all have a great day and I will check in again soon ~ probably tomorrow as i think I am off then too. I need to check with Theresa on that.

Karen...Yes, I made that mistake on my first divorce, among others! I thought a Quit Claim Deed took care of that, but not! My ex defaulted on the house and they served me a foreclosure notice. I was young and naieve so said he was responsible. I probably could have negotiated with the bank and had the house for a song and dance. I tend to learn things the hard way. I already discussed it with J...also taking his name off of my paid for car! Should have left his insecure a$$ off of that and my motorcycle!!! Duh! At least the mh is the only loan and we have no joint credit cards!

Soos, I lost a brother at age 57 from colon cancer and I have another brother that has survived colon cancer so I really need to be diligent.
Also my neighbor, David, age 38 has colon cancer. It had spread to his liver and he had surgery just before Christmas to remove part of a lobe. A month ago he had good reports but last Friday, after some blood tests came back with elevated numbers, they did a scan asap and found it was back in the liver. Not sure what will happen next for him. They only gave him 5 yrs out as it was. Scary stuff. Please, everyone, get routine checkups for it.
