Happy Friday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Friday!

Postby bikerchic777 » Fri Mar 26, 2010 7:28 am

I have already been up for over an hour and can't believe I get to start the morning coffee! Cheers to everyone! I've had two days of playing, so have to do some dirty work today. Yesterday was a great day! I started out with about a 5 mile hike with some friends here in the park, through some of the birding trails...beautiful! The boys got wet crossing some water, then the sand stuck to them. They didn't seem to mind a bit ;) Took a mtc ride with a group to my favorite biker destination for lunch. One of the guys shared our lunches...that way we could have two different things...I like to do that! I ordered smoked mullet dip and they were out, so I got smoked salmon dip. It was wonderful! They serve it with a whole pack of saltines. I shared with others and still brought some home. Bob got king crab legs and they were AWESOME, I must say. We knew another couple already there, one guy hooked up with us on the hwy and others showed up while we were there. All in all, I counted a dozen of us. Had some great convos with a couple about their Alaska adventures. Way interesting!!! I must go there :!: Was fun to walk around and mingle about different topics. I needed that!

Last night...not so fun  The soon to be ex was pissy and got hot with me about getting on with the divorce. He thinks it should have been done in Dec., when we first discussed it. I've never seen anyone so anxious! Anyway...I need to do some calling today to SD and find out how to do this cheap since we are in agreement on things. I think I can use a paralegal, if I'm not mistaken. Anyone know? I used an attorney before and cost me a pretty penny to fill out papers and file...nothing more than what I could have done myself! I will have to use someone, as I'm hoping to not have to go to SD to do this. Hope it's a cut and dry thing. I'm just glad other things are falling into place or I would have to scream :o Also have to try...for the 3rd time...to get my bill pay set up at my bank. If I can't get it today, I'm changing banks! So far, it's not user friendly. OK...thanks for listening  Have a great day, all!!!

So the Hell's Angels were out in force! I once said that to a group that came into the store. They were all in their 60's and they started strutting and saying "We bad - we bad."
Beth and I are in Walmarts parking lot in Show Low AZ. Saw snow on the ground! Where's Baja when you need it? It is freezing, ice on the little creek that runs by. It is 48 in my rig and the wind is blowing hard. We hate to drive in the wind, but are anxious to keep moving. Hopefully we will be at the Very Large Array NM today.

Morning!
Good to see a newbie set the table this morning! And to see Jean here, too!
It rained all night and will continue most of the day, although we will only be one degree colder than normal, so all is well weather-wise in the PNW (Pacific Northwest).
It's just 7 AM here so will wait another hour or so to call the tire alignment guy to give him the okay to work on my MH. (see the maintenance section with the whole story).
Other than that, nothing planned. My DD and her family are in San Diego for the weekend. My DD got a weekend workout class with her favorite video workout lady as a Christmas present so she is over the moon excited. (she didn't get those genes from me  ). On Monday they travel on to AZ to visit my SIL's parents.
Enjoy your day, ladies!

The sun has returned after 24 hours of rain but more rain is in the forecast. I'll enjoy the sun while it is here. Everything is starting to pop out, it seems to happen all of a sudden. I'm hoping this virus thing I've had all week is on its way out as I haven't felt well enough to do anything but watch TV and feed the dogs and that gets old fast. DH hasn't done any cleaning but he has been shopping & keeping me fed and that isn't easy. I think Sparkle and I eat alike, I eat breakfast three times.
Bikerchic, why are you the one that has to make all the arrangements when he is the one in a hurry! If you have the answer to that you can write the book, go on Oprah and never have to worry about $$$ again! Hope things work out for you soon and that it isn't really a hassle or expensive. My divorce in 1977 cost me a whopping $40.00 to do it myself!

Good morning
Gloomy start to the day but rain has quit and we might get a peek of sun by days end; tomorrow is to be a great weather day. With only a couple of warm spring days, blooming trees are coming on strong; here's a sample from a local newsletter (like their photos better than mine)

http://huntsville.about.com/cs/women/l/blbradfordpear.htm

Been a bit of a rough week but I'm looking forward to the sun tomorrow. Sister has the flu, my dentist appointment did not go well - need some oral surgery which of course is not covered by insurance. It just goes on and on - if I were a good writer, think I could easily keep one of those soap TV shows going for years

Safe travels to all on the move now.

Too late for good morning again! I've been to the bank for trip$$$, got groceries, and attended the Our Own Games event to visit with former students. My non-verbal student I told you about is now a spokesman for a state advocacy group. He showed me a powerpoint presentation he will use with his speech at a state convention. In it, he mentions my name as being an early influence in his education.

Yesterday I did clean the whole house....took all day between the pet hair & pollen dust everywhere. I should be able to breathe easier today.

I agree with Redetotry, Linda....if he's in such a hurry, let him get it going and pay for it too!

I look forward to seeing the Very Large Array through your pictures, Sparkle. Maybe then, I'll know what it is. I'm sure you told us about it before, but darned if I can remember. Wishing you safe travels through the wind.

Speaking of travels....anybody heard from Echo lately? They must be getting ready to move to the North Rim soon.

Beautiful sunny day here...guess I'll go outside and enjoy it awhile.

Good afternoon all. Going to be a beautiful day here, around 67 and sunny. We should be getting more rain tomorrow, which will just keep the backyard too wet to get the camper out. RATS!

My 15 yr. mix shepherd had another accident last night, which I got to clean up this AM. Ran out of carpet cleaner so needed to get that before using the shampooer. She started out in the kitchen so my question is why not just stay there? Don't walk around the living room. ACK what a trail. All this cleaning BEFORE COFFEE makes me a grumpy lass. Just can't stay mad at her.

Take care all. Linda

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Yep it's still morning here and of course it's freaking windy!! Gods above and below I will be glad to get out of this constant wind. ~sigh~ Kelly and I have talked it over and instead of staying here until the 3rd week of April? We will be heading to Kanab UT to get us closer to the Lodge and up into a higher elevation. The elevation here is super low so it's gonna be a chore getting back into being use to the higher. LOL There's a campground up there called the Hitching Post that we've looked at online and looks to be pretty decent. Need to get off my butt and call for reservations! From what I was reading it will be colder in Kanab than here. But we gots lots of blankies. Will be easier to keep warm that to stay cool here. Can always pile on the blankies and wear jackets at night before bed but ya just can't take off all that many clothes to try and keep cool during the day here. (no comments needed) We have had days up into the mid 80's and about roasted our butts off here. Night time the temps are perfect for sleeping in the mid 50's. Have been told and warned that it's gonna be getting much "warmer" during the day too. This place is really looking like a ghost town. We got a new neighbor yesterday so now there's a grand total of 3 of us in the row on our side. There's only 4 RV's on the other side of our row in front of us. Amazing to see so many gone when it was so packed when we got here.

Poor Shade has no idea what is coming at her! The day before we leave here we will be taking her back to the DYI dog wash. Ohhhh her gonna be unhappy with her Mommy again. But I really need to get the dust and dirt off her before we leave. Then in Kanab she can play in the sand! Brushed her out yesterday as she is blowing her coat. Dang I think I took enough hair off of her to build at least 1/2 another dog. ?? Hmmmm ?? Maybe Kelly will be able to get herself a dog that way! LOL For ourselves, I think it's gonna take a month before we will feel really clean of all the dust and grit.

Ok other than that nothing much at all is going on here. Just quiet days in the camp ground. And I mean quiet too. The couple across the row have been gone for a week and it's been soooo nice, calm and quiet here without their constant fighting!!! Now if the barky dog in the next row behind us shuts up?? ~sigh~ I have been so freaking tempted to complain about that dog. People are either braver than I am or stupider than I am. They tie it out and it likes to bark after midnight. No freaking way would I do that no matter how big the dog was, not with the coyotes around here!! Stupid people...

Hope everyone has a super great day and enjoys it safely!!

Love to all

OK, OK! I hear ya girls! Maybe I do feel a bit intimidated. He's holding money he owes me ransom until the paperwork is submitted. I need that money to pay for my mh the 2nd wk of April...So maybe now I'm the one in a hurry  I found out that we can order a packet from the Clerk of Court and just fill it out and sign in front of a notary and mail back to the Court. The packet cost $10 plus $7.18 shipping. It's on it's way! I think court fees will cost around $80 and he will pay. This will be faster and I don't want to pay an attorney to do what I can do...I'm so sick of control issues with men  Can I get an AMEN to that? Seriously!!! Will someone please slap me if I look at another man anytime soon?

It's not looking at them that is the problem. It is getting married to them! That is why I have never gotten married. I am too independant to let any guy tell me what to do, when, where, how or why. Unless you have the perfect relationship (soulmate of sorts), marriage just complicates things. I am not looking right now at all, but eventually, I would be interested in a part-time companion/boy toy. That's it for me!

Nothing much new today here. I went to a Law of Attraction Meet-up group tonight which was interesting. Lots of good discussion about the power of thoughts and intentions to create/manifest new things in one's life. Very thought-provoking (no pun intended!).

Sounds good, Barbie! Keep me on track! I like the idea of someone to do things with/boy toy plan...lol! Would be nice to combine what you learned at your group meeting with prayer and you will be in CA before you know it!

Maybe my "boy toy" is out there waiting for me! When I check the on-line dating services, the men out there my age are a lot better looking and in better shape than the men around here! Guys around these parts just sit around fishing, hunting and drinking beer all day. Not into guys like that at all. Younger and more active is definately better for me as well!

You sound a lot like me...lol. Only problem is I did the online thing and ended up marrying an older guy...duh! Be careful...you know people can be anyone they want to be online. Sometimes that is why they look so good...lol! I won't do it again. I met a lot of online frogs...RIBBET! Maybe you will be luckier than me. :-)

I have learned that most guys post photos from years earlier and look nothing like their photos anymore. Also, many of them are already in relationships and are just looking for a little fun on the side. I haven't had much luck on-line over the years. I am very fussy now and would rather be alone than with someone who wasn't good for me. Also, most guys up here are hunters and I won't date anyone who hunts. Maybe CA guys are more into other things than killing animals.

II'm guessing you can. Like you, I would rather be alone than with someone who is not good for me. I think it would be better to get involved in hobbies and activities you enjoy to find someone with similar interests. I thought E-Harmony would be good since you fill out detailed questionaires, but I've never met people so UNlike me! I think it keys in on one like interest and matches you. The only common factor I could figure out was our belief in God! I wouldn't trust anyone to hook me up with someone either, unless they knew us both very well. Right now, dating is not on my want list. I want to get back to enjoying being with myself and friends and family.
