Cool Photo

My friend, Cathy, from FL, is currently up in NC and just sent me this picture she took today at Caswell Beach. Anyone familiar with that area?

Just wanted to share... (not sure what I like better, the deer or the tree!)
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I am not sure, but they are all over Florida, so maybe one of the gals who lives down there can answer that. They are really cool, and with the spanish moss hanging all over the branches, really makes a cool effect.

I believe that's an oak tree with very heavy limbs, so it looks unusual. It looks like one we saw on the National Seashore in GA, just north of the FL border. carold

Shows you how observant I am. I had to look again after you said there was a deer.

beautiful picture, thanks for sharing. I spotted the deer right off, when I was married
I used to be hubbies deer spotter (he was a hunter). Now I'm just the rabbit spotter
for the dogs, not that they need any help spotting them, well.........maybe Pixie
cause she's a little bit blind.
Love how the trees grow like that, we have some mesquite trees here that do that.
When they fall over the city just trims them up and lets them keep on growing and
they tend to do what that tree did. I'll have to get some pictures of some really
cool ones around town. That will give me something to do :D

Sure doesn't look like any of the Oak trees we have up here! Very unusual! I love trees! They have so much character.

What a great picture of the deer framed by that extraordinary live-oak tree. I really love those trees, and we have no such species up here in the north. Our oak trees are very different. That picture is a prize-winner!
