Week 1 Post Card Thank You's...

Wow you guys are a speedy bunch I tell you.
Our First Post Card to arrive came from Wisconsin...it is a beautiful sunset on a dairy farm with a cow. From A. Friend

Next it was a trip south to Florida..lots of neat little collage of photos. Kodie favorite was the dolphin. From Liz

Next was a big envelope with 4 postcards and a neat letter that we enjoyed reading. The postcards were "Launching Pad" located on Route 66..this is Drive in located in Wilmington, Illinois. The other 3 postcards were historical old Wilmington. It was fun to look for the "cars" in the picture's. ie horse and buggy. Then one of the concrete dam being built across the river. Thank You to Lenora's Niece, Trish and family for the postcards and the letter.

The last postcard arrived today..of Bridalveil Waterfall in Yosemite National Park. Thank You Diana.

We worked on putting the notebook together this week.
We have it divided into 4 sections Western, Midwest , Northeast, and South. The first page of each section has a map printout of those states.
The plan is to locate the general area of the postcard, when possible and put a dot on the map. Then we will read about the places using internet resources and print out a few facts and then leave the top blank so we can tape the postcard on the paper (just along the top so it can still be slid out and flipped over to read the back.

We will do our best to post each Friday about the post cards we have received that week.

THANK YOU :D
