Hump day

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hump day

Postby avalen » Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:32 am

Good morning ladies
cold and wet from the rains over the last few days but its suppose to get sunny out
today and that means it will dry up. Not much doing in my part of the world, although
I'm on spring break, I still have to go in and run one trip each day, just an hour and a
half. No biggie, but it does give me extra hours. Talked to the guy at the census
bureau yesterday, I was getting worried about not hearing anything yet on that part
time job but he says they are just now starting to call people. He said I should hear
something in a couple weeks. So, I'm still waiting.
Coffee is ready, and a bagle with cream cheese for breakfast. Enjoy.
Barbz is missing in action and so is Echo. :? What have you ladies been up to?

Cats were a bit on the wild side early this a.m.... guess they were ready for breakfast so they kept at me until I got up. grrrr.... ah, but I love them.

Today a lot of the high school kids and faculty will leave town right at 3 p.m. for the mass trip north on I-87 to Plattsburgh State University's field house for our varsity girl's basketball game. If we win this one then we are only one more level before the NY "final four".... go Eagles! Of course we'll be in that line of cars. Even though the boys varsity suffered an injury in the sectional games and lost they have been very supportive of the girls' team. It's one of the grand things about a small K-12 school, everyone knows everyone and are friends.

I'm here at school now. It's a grand day, bright and sunny and quite warm for only early March. Hope we don't end up with a chilly May because we had such an early spring.

Have a great Hump Day everyone,..... :D

Morning!
Go Eagles! Have fun, Cedar!
Rainy and quite chilly here. I was suppose to have my echo cardiogram follow-up with my heart Dr today but they called yesterday to reschedule. I now see him on Apr 15th! Figure I'm ok or they'd get me in asap, right? So I'm thinking I'm going to Curves this morning. Going to go slow and see what happens.
So far I can only offer some hot coffee. I can't decide what to eat this morning. I bought a mini loaf of olive bread and I'm thinking I'll have a toasted slice of that with a hard boiled egg and maybe a banana. Who knows?!? ;) Hard to decide when I'm not hungry.
Have a great day everyone. Travel safely!

Good morning. Fairly unsettled here. Sun, snow, rain, sun, clouds....Still haven't decided if I'm leaving for my trip on Friday night or Sat. morning. Up in the air right now. Between work, grad school, trip prep, and basic life, things are getting hectic. Looking forward to relaxing...2011 maybe?

A quick note before heading out for the day.

I am battling a small cold and Ron is coughing and has a stuffy nose too. Hopefully these won't last long. Would hate to be sick when we start our new jobs.

Today I am going to a friends for coffee and lunch. I then have an appointment in town later in the afternoon. Tonight we are going to some friends from church for dinner.

Hope everyone has a great day. I will check in tonight to see how everyone is doing.

Not much interesting going on up here in the Midwest. It has been warm (40's) and raining for the past few days so the snow is melting quickly! Suppose to keep raining for the next 3 or 4 days as well. The ice on the lake might go out early this year with all the water on top of it now, as long as we don't get any real cold spells again. Up in northern Minnesota, they are gearing up for major flooding again around the Fargo/Moorhead area. They got a ton of snow up there and with it melting so fast and the added rain, the river will be rising quickly now.

Not working much right now which isn't good for paying bills coming due. Both jobs are pretty slow. Gotta find something else soon. Haven't heard from Great Clips yet. If I do decide to move south, it will be to California. My heart just isn't into Arizona. Just couldn't get excited about that idea at all. If I have to wait another year, so be it, but California (Coachella Valley) it will be!

Sounds like most everyone else here is getting rained on today. Stay warm and dry!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Coachella Valley huh? You must really like the heat! Keep us posted, that's pretty close to me, Pooker, and Donna!

I can handle the heat a lot better than the cold. To me the heat is uncomfortable, but the cold is downright painful! I have been in Phoenix when it was 108 degrees and it felt fine to me. I took a 3 mile walk and had no problem. Besides, the mountains are just a 15 minute tram ride away! Where are you three at? It would be great to have friends out there when I move.

I'm near Hemet, Evie is near Moreno Valley and Donna is in Escondido. Evie and I make it over to Desert Hot Springs every once in a while to the casino there. We're about an hour from Coachella. Donna's about 2 hours. We don't get to see her as often as we'd like 'cause she's still a worker bee and has a family. Evie and I are retired "poor old widder ladies". When are you hoping to move out here? I know it depends on your new job. Are we talking months or years?

And I'm about an hour north of Evie, just east of Pasadena. Cold for us here is mid-50s in the winter. Colder at night, but rarely freezing. Summers, however, are hot for about 4 weeks. The good thing about them though is that it's a dry heat and no BUGHS! If you get this far north let me know. I'm about 2 hours from the desert, I guess.

If all goes well (job, money, etc) I would be going out there this August. Otherwise, it would be another year :( I know I have to have a job lined up ahead of time so that is the tough part. If I can get back into Great Clips here, I can hopefully just transfer to one out there. I would then probably just find a room to rent to begin with. But, first things first...
