Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hmmm...yesterday they were predicting sunny 70s here today. Right now it's rainy 58*, so plan for yardwork is postponed.

Took the RV for its new tires this morning....5, including the spare. Was able to get them with 0310 date code...can't get much newer than that. Now I'm exercising the generator for an hour. Tomorrow it goes for an oil change/service. I'll also pick up tire covers and a patio mat I ordered. Decided new tires deserved tire covers....never used them before. Then, we'll be ready to roll. I am SO ready to roll...just hope the weather cooperates too.

Glad to hear you're taking yourself to a doctor, Sparkle. 'Bout time.

Laura, just post the info about awning locks please....that way you won't have to pm everybody. I haven't yet used my awning...too chicken to try it. I'm afraid I won't be able to get it put away correctly. I keep saying I need to practice here in my yard, but have yet to do that.

May your day be special.

..

My dealer sold me ($4.95 :o ) two 3/4" wide pieces of velcro for awning locks. They prefer the velcro over the snap-in locks that come with the awning. I've never had any problem with them.

The one time I let my husband travel with me...we went down to NC to camp with the dd and meet her future in-laws, etc. My husband insisted that he wanted to put the awning out. It was not that hot and we were not the gathering campsite.....anyway when we went to leave the next day the awning was a little more difficult to roll back up and seemed loose to me and I was fussing with it. He goes "It looks alright to me." This is the same man who has not read any of the stories regarding awning unrolling as one drives down the interstate. I was not a happy camper. Made him put "locks" on it alright. Looks really pretty with the matching white electrical tape around the ends  That awnings going no where, now. I can count on two fingers the times I had used it. Too difficult to put up and down by myself. Have thought that if I had an electric one I MIGHT get more use out of it? Because I could easily roll it back up anytime I left the site. I really like EASY when it comes to set up and break down of camp. Any experience out there. If this unit had not come with an awning I would not have ordered one on a new unit.

Re: awning difficulties. I love my awning and use it frequently. If you find your awning isn't rolling back up easily take the tape/ribbon in your hand and pull it tight, ... it will align the roller bar and when you release it it will roll back up to the camper. I especially enjoy my awning to protect my chairs and other things from the morning dew.

I love using my awning too and now that I have a nifty sunscreen that cuts the heat from my rig, I enjoy it even more.
