FAVORITE DAY FRIDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FAVORITE DAY FRIDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Fri Mar 05, 2010 5:00 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Temperature took a heavy drop last night, as it's only 10 degrees out there this morning. Moon is as beautiful as yesterday, however. Molly didn't linger out there!

Friday and jeans day again----YIPPEE! And the Olympic athletes parade this afternoon.

We had an interesting day yesterday with one of our students stealing a 100 dollar bill from another and ripping it in half. The question is, where did that kid get the 100 dollars to begin with? It's always something!

I got my new screen room/tent delivered yesterday that has no see-um netting screens so we can sit outside in peace in August at the GTG! I had a neat screen tent last year, but the mesh screening was too large to keep the teensy little biters out! This one is bigger, I think, and should also sit more people. I just hope I can manage to set it up by myself. It will be a long time before I will be able to even try to set it up!

Coffee is hot, so come on in and let us know about your day and upcoming weekend. I hope to get some pictures of the parade today, and will post them tomorrow or tonight. Happy Friday!

Don't know what the temp is outside in WHY, AZ, but it is 60 inside the rig with no heating on. I'll take it! Beautiful sunny morning with the burros out in the desert nearby honking up a storm. Beth and I are getting caught up on all the things we need to do between returning from Baja and starting our trip to Alaska. I figured I've driven 65.000 miles since I started fulltiming. Roll on 100.000. :D

I've only driven 45,000 miles since I started full-timing - but am going for the 100,000 + mark also. The full year I spent in TX really cut down my mileage, then not traveling back east these last couple years did the same, also. To think - I'll be fulltime 5 years come July. I've been to Alaska and Mexico - and almost all the US state - have to figure out which ones I'm missing and make sure they get on my route one day. Like Michigan. Have been there many times in my life, but never in the rv so far.

My tummy was a tad off yesterday - something everyone told me to expect in MX and never happened. I come home and it happens here! Meant I didn't get as much done as I intended - thank goodness I had done the 5 loads of laundry the previous day. Yesterday I did get my freezer defrosted - and sorted through my overhead bunk to get my outside table down - so I can do outside crockpot cooking today. I like doing that outside rather than in. Realized I have way too many books - that goes back to when Jean and I hit the thrift stores - and when I got more at a garage sale near Jenny's - I doubled the amount of books in here - got to start cutting them down - maybe giving 2 back to the trades for every one I take. Hard to do that, though, because I never want to be out of books to trade!

Peaches and I could hear the donkeys yesterday and today on our morning walks, but never got close enough to them. They come right up next to the rigs during the night. Their braying then doesn't bother me at all.

Have a great day all.

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

Yahoo says the temp out there right now is 71f. It is simply beautiful outside today. Sun is shinning, teeny tiny white clouds and a refreshingly light breeze. Just loving it!!! Haven't put any shorts on yet but I am sitting here barefoot, pant legs pulled up and in front of a fan inside out tarp wrapped canopy. It's warmer inside. But with the fan going and part of the tarps open it lets in the breeze.

Got to go get a shower as we are going to Parker today for our groceries and whatever. We haven't went yet this week. We have been skimming by on what little laundry we have been doing but the other night we went and did it ALL up at once. GADS we did a mountain of laundry. Whew, told Kelly we are not gonna let that happen again. We had been getting our drinking water from the free spouts at the city park but have found 'floaty' things in one of the jugs. So no more of that! We filled our jugs at the laundromat for 25 cents a gal. Tastes better too. The water here in the campground is simply undrinkable!!!! It has a heavy mineral content and is cloudy and a little dark. So nope on that! Hmmm, note to self. Need to pick up white vinegar for the coffee pot. I'll tell y'all that there is something to be said for concrete and gravel!!! The dust here is horrible. We are constantly wiping things off and washing things. Wont miss the dust at all!!!

Ok, Kelly should be pulling in right soon so I had better get my butt in gear. Sign off on this and get my clean clothes around for my shower. Hope everyone has a super great day and remembers to do so safely!

Love to all

Re: FAVORITE DAY FRIDAY

Again checking in at the end of the day! Went to the dentist this morning for ex-rays and cleaning. I got into a disagreement with the front desk gal about my insurance. I tried to explain that I get more of a discount than what she told me I get. I suggested she call the number on my insurance card. She grabbed my card and threw it on her desk and said "well, we'll see!", very snotty attitude. Well, it turned out I was right and I only had to pay half of what she had quoted me. I have a badly chipped tooth in the back of my mouth that needs a crown, and unfortunately, my insurance won't cover a crown until I have been on the plan for one year! (only been on it for 2 months). It will probably break apart completely by then and just fall out! At least I got my teeth cleaned anyways.

Buster gave me a scare today! I couldn't find him before I left this morning so I had to leave him out (of the cage) for the day. I can't call him because he is deaf and I can never seem to find where he hides. Anyways, when I came home, I found bloody diarrhea in several places. Yikes! I finally found him and put him in the cage. He seemed fine. Then I realized that I had forgotten to leave out his ferret kibble for him to eat, so he must have eaten the cat food (which has red pieces in it). His system can't handle anything other than his regular kibble, and he gets diarrhea from anything else he eats, so that explains the diarrhea and the red cat food pieces explains the "bloody" color to it. Whew!! Can't afford a vet bill right now! Silly goofus!

I found the perfect RV not far from here. It is a class C, 2001 Four Winds Sport Chateau with 22,000 miles. They want $18,000 which sounds pretty good. It looks like it is in mint condition. Too bad I can't get it now. It has everything I was looking for. Shucks! Where's that winning lottery ticket when I need it??

Also got some info about my nephew. He definately has cancer. That lump on his backside needs to be completely removed and then some, and then he will get radiation treatments. My dad didn't have all the facts, so I need to call my brother to get more details, so that is all I know for now. I imagine Jeff is very scared at this point. Not a good thing to hear ever, but especially when you are only 21.

Hope you all have a good weekend! I have no plans other than laundry and working at the salon tomorrow.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
