Ah, Lenora, I agree with a lot of that. But ... not sure he'd agree with what mine ate - as farmers, they had big fried meals. Lots of eggs and bacon for breakfast, or sometimes ham instead of bacon. Lunch was their dinner - big meal, typical one would be fried chicken, mashed potatoes, vegies and bread. Dinner (supper to them) was light. They all smoked - but one cigarette after lunch before returning to work, then one or two after supper. None were overweight, all were healthy - lived into 90's most of them. No heart trouble, etc. What we can eat is very relative to what activity we have, also.
I have a friend who runs several miles a day. She loves sweets. She's in great shape, no problems with all the sweets she eats - which is the opposite of the rest of her family - but probably because of the amount of exercise she gets. Now, why don't I like exercise? I try to get a lot of walking in, but I know I need more - and am going to start using my jump rope more - maybe take it with me on walks and when Peaches explores, I can jump rope a bit?
