Herschel appreciated the invite....but he will have to think about it. Wet dog is not his most handsome look.... :o and he sometimes gets so self conscious when he visits friends....

hot tub would feel good, gotta take advantage of that one right after my quick
shower. It was another very long day and it will be nice to think about a different
schedule and even nice to think about the "other" position coming up that will
pay even more but gotta remember reality and know the other one is available
to anyone. But, I'm in beleif mode that there is an office in the school district
warehouse calling my name :D

Ava good luck with the positions!!! either one would be great! more hours and the possibility of working year round
what a relief that would be
best of luck

suns going down and the chill of evening is setting in, the fire feels good.
The other position that is coming up was posted and there is more to it than
I was told and I certainly don't have the qualifications for it, so that idea is
out the window. They already have over 50 applicants and many of them have
degree's which is not even required, but you do need to be an accountant. To
top it all off, it only starts out at 12 something an hour and even at an 8 hour
day I'd be taking a cut in pay so,, no way. I will stick with the new route I talked
with my supervisor about and hope no one with more seniority bids on it. I won't
know about that one probably a couple weeks.
Lasagna for dinner and a little glass of wine, (the last of it) and off to read posts.

Thanks for keeping the fire up tonight, Ava. If you pass that wine I think I'll have a little. Isn't it interesting how some things just take care of themselves. I try my best to give up worrying about stuff I can't control, it saves energy for all the stuff that I actually can effect.  Good luck for picking up the longer route, though I imagine you will miss your kids on the one you have now. I'm looking forward to a warmer weekend and maybe taking some dogs for a walk! ....but for now the warmth of the fire is what I need....

Just dropping by the fire to say I am heading to bed. I am battling a cold and am going to take some Nyquil so that I can sleep tonight and hopefully feel better in the morning. I have a full day tomorrow with an appointment at 9:30 then heading over to the church to work for a few hours and then will be attending World Day of Prayer at our church (we are the host church for the Blaine community) and then attending First Friday. First Friday is a diverse group of friends that get together the first Friday of each month during the school year for soup, bread, beverages and dessert and of course fellowship.

I must be tired that one sentence is really long...so good night dear sistahs!

I know it's morning, but can I sit around the fire to warm up anyway?? The temperature has actually dropped 2 degrees since I first got up, and it's now about 8F. out there!

I would LOVE to have a lobster-skin-hot hot tub on my deck this morning next to a roaring fire in my firepit-on-wheels with a cup of hot coffee in my hands! With that beautiful moon above and all that warmth, I would probably call in sick to school, and not leave until my skin was pruned! Then I would go to the athletes parade this afternoon!

Thanks for stoking the fire, Ava, as this virtual one is the only one I will experience today! Sigh----is my imagination good enough to warm me up??

My brother left 2 bottles of beer in my refrigerator. You can have them. I'll take advantage of the fire and the hot tub....can't get warmed up here in Florida! Maybe some hot tea too will help...heat the inside as well as the outside.

I'm going to relax in the hot tub for just a minute. Oh, does that feel good. Then I'll get my crock pot going for the day.

Be careful that the cooties don't get to the cockles and cause a cat-tastrophy....
