GOOD MORNING TO ALL!
That earthquake, according to the news, actually knocked Earth off its axis slightly, and shortened our day by a few seconds! I just heard a news blurb, and will have to go online and research the latest facts about that event. Also, the resluting tsunamis leveled homes and wrecked boats on many nearby and distant little Pacific islands, it seems. 8.8 on the Richter Scale is HUGE, but to move the entire earth on its axis boggles my mind.
Second day of March, and about 20 degrees here-----a perfect temperature, actually. When I walked to the trailer yesterday without snowshoes or skis on, I discovered our snow cover is deeper than I thought! There are some places in that short span of my yard where the wind has drifted the snow to hip deep! I had quite the struggle to get there and back! Actually, I was hoping I could walk on top of the older, more frozen stuff, but unh-unh! Molly was trying to follow me and was diving like a porpoise in the deep stuff! It saddens me to realize just how long it will take for this stuff to melt down this year. I guess I had better make reservations for Memorial Day weekend anyway, at my local KOA where I usually go, and if I have to cancel, I'll do so.
My comatose girl had a GREAT day yesterday, but her alert behavior turned to somewhat manic at the end of the day---I am now thinking manic-depressive behavior. I would so rather have her manic, as she was able to finish a Global II test and score an 84 on it! She was awake all day long for the first time in several months. If it was due to some medication she didn't take, or due to some med she DID take, or due to her not swigging Nyquil at night to get to sleep, or just a mood swing for her, I wish I could find the formula or the recipe to keep it going!
Coffee is ready, so stop in and tell us about your day! I'm off to study the scientific facts about Earth's axis movements!
Have a nice day, y'all!
