Last I remember from Echo was that they were going shopping to pick up another screen room or something like that. And that was a few days ago...sure hope everything is okay with her and Kellie.

It is mighty chilly tonight here in Blaine. I have had a long day ~ it started about 6:30 this morning. Thought about going to bed earlier (7:00 PM) but decided if I did that I would be up super early tomorrow so I have been spending time on the computer and just noticed the time (9:16 PM) so now I can go and take a shower and crawl into my bed.

Tomorrow we have church in the morning, then running errands in the afternoon ~ need to pick up a couple more totes to put some clothes away from the closet ~ they will go into storage while we are on the road. In the evening we might be babysitting for our adopted grandboys ~ parents are thinking of going to a Bryan Dierkson concert.

Going to head off for the night ~ hope to hear from Echo & Kellie soon.

We definitely DO need to hear from Echo and Kellie-----we miss you girls around the fire and in the kitchen in the mornings! When you get this, please check in with us. Although I missed this neat fire last night, it still feels good this morning, and I've stoked it up to last for a good part of the day. It's about 15 degrees F. here this morning, and snowing, so this fire feels really good!

I rarely come to the campfire but do like hearing from those who do. I, too, miss Echo's posts. Knowing Echo and Kelly, they are fine and on the move. I vote for them visiting their CA friends and just being busy.
Fire does feel good. We've had bright, sunny skies here in SW WA state, but it came with lots of cold winds. I just tried walking my dog and had to wear my hood up to block the icy blast. Today I'm going to try to catch up on some sleep. I've been bothered with sinus stuff (probably allergies of some form), and am getting tired of blowing my nose and sneezing. I can't remember even being bothered this much before. Little Missy's genny will have to wait another day to get exercised.
Stay warm, ladies. Enjoy a cup of green tea with me.

had an "oh crap" moment today and I'm still fussing with myself over it. Picked up
my trips for this week on Friday, and I said oh good, Tuesday, Wed, and Thurs, that
works, however I screwed up on the wednesday one, it was today (after work) and
I couldn't do it as I had not made arrangements for the dogs extra 4 hours until I
get home. Oh crap! all those extra hours are going to someone else  totally
my own fault! I just had the date wrong in my head. I'm so mad at myself!
So now, a hot toddy would definatley hit the spot and it could even be a shot of
whiskey, what do I care? something special to change my mood. Oh wait, I have
chocolate in the cabinet!! That will work!

Ava, I hate when that happens. I don't have too many Aw Chit moments, but they just wrench your gut when ya have em. Hope the Hot Toddy helped!

I'll have my breakfast tea out here with the campfire.....maybe tonight I can get in the hot tub again....it felt so warm and steamy last time. Stewart gets a bath later this afternoon and he is going the a "Reading with Raider" Therapy Dog Reading thing at one of the local libraries. He was getting neglected. Herschel and Remi both had there visiting friends thing and he just wants to "do something!" I keep asking him if he has been practicing his vowel and intonation for reading. He just wags his tail  and wooo wooos a little.
Keep the fire going. I'll be back eventually, but heading for errands right about now....

ahhhh, the fire feels good, it certainly gets cold out as soon as the sun goes down. All the
rain we had last weekend still has everything waterlogged and next weekend the rains are
coming back. I need to spray the yard for ticks, Bandit came in last night with a tick
hanging on him, ewww, the only vegetation I have here is the oleanders and him being
a boy, well he gets right in there to do his thing, the girls don't bother with the oleanders
but I checked them over too and no ticks on them. I hate ticks, never had a tick problem
in Colorado, even in the mountains where we had our cabin, but here in Arizona, well,
the ticks are just creepy and of course can make your pet very sick. Have not had a
flea problem though and fleas are a problem here too. Going to get a product called
Natural Defense made by Sentry, it sounds really safe to spray even in the house as
well as the bushes and the critters.
Gracie has a vet appt on Friday to get her ear looked at, I think she has a yeast
infection in her ear but a biopsy of that junky red ear wax will tell us what medicine
we need. I've tried for several weeks, maybe a month to get it cleared up but I've
decided I need help from the vet to get the job done.
Happy news on the home front........hopefully, if everything goes well I'll get a new
route. One of the special ed drivers is quitting and his route gets 7 hours a day, and
I told my supervisior when it gets posted for bid I want it. She said since I have lots
of seniority I shouldn't have any problem getting it but of course someone with more
seniority than me could bid on it too. I really prefer to make my hours all in the daytime
and not have to rely on doing after hour trips to get anything extra. So I'm keeping my
fingers crossed that it all goes well. There is another position coming available in another
dept when that gal retires, (end of month) and I plan on putting in for that too. Its an
8 hour day and a year round position but that one is available to all district personnel as
well as anyone from "outside" So, lots on my mind lately.
Oh gosh, I think I'm rambleing now, must be the little glass of wine I'm sipping on, makes
me all warm and gushy :D Ok, I'll shut up now and just enjoy the fire.

Good Luck on the new job prospects, Ava. And since Tina didn't get in the hot tub, I think I'll soak for a bit. Not much going on here, we're supposed to have sun shine for the rest of the week.

Honest, if I HAD used the hot tub, I would have left it clean. I clearly read the sign with the "rules" for using imaginary hot tubs...it states to take an imaginary bath/shower before hand to help with maintaining a healthy hot tub environment.... So don't let me using the tub stop you from using it. And I told Herschel that he was not to join anyone in the tub.....he does like water don't you know>>>

  Tina, I didn't mean it like THAT!! :? I just meant since you passed up your opportunity, I wasn't going to miss mine! Herschel would be fine in the tub, till he decided to shake all the water off!

Too funny. I just got around to reading this thread and thought - man, that Vickie is being mean again with the hot tub comment.  She just never gets any nicer, does she?

And Ava, GOOD LUCK on getting your new position. Hope it all works out for you!

Tina, I would share the hot tub with you...I'm not mean like You-Know-Who...
