Nan,
never mind cleaning the house,.... just stay safe! and keep us posted. We're all watching her on TWC. She is a gad-about for sure!

Fay has arrived. Rain, Rain and More Rain. Wind has picked up a lot. This should remain through the night tonight, and should begin to slack off some by Saturday. They are looking at it moving out into the Gulf and coming back in out in the Panhandle. That makes 4 trips across Florida. This is completely unprecedented in Florida.

We keep having to pump the pool down and it fills right back up again.

BUT this should help bring the water table up here.

Talked to my neighbor yesterday...she said Ocala (just south of Nan) is expecting 8+ inches of rain. My pool service guy apparently shocked and drained the pool, but she's keeping an eye on it for me as it will need it several more times. Glad I had the foresight to take down the canopy cover over the mh. Local schools had opening day Mon. and since then have used up 4 hurricane days just on this 1 storm! Winds along the coast are still 30-40 mph; not sure what they are inland.

Fay is heading on to Tallahasse now. Which means crossing the Gulf to get there. We are still getting a bit of rain and some tail winds but saw a bit of sun peek through. Inland the winds would sometimes have gusts to 50 mph, which isn't real bad. I did have some limbs come down out of a tree, so have to have those cut up and taken down to the street. But all in all we got the rain we have needed so badly without a great deal of damage everywhere. Some trees in locations here have just fallen over, due to being water logged. So there is damage but not as bad as it could have been. But now maybe the water table will be up in Florida gain.

I'm glad Fay didn't turn into something worse - but happy she brought some much needed rains to some areas. My friend in AL is still hoping to get some from her - but so far, nothing -

Just as we needed the rain from the hurricane that came to TX - but, unfotunately, there was more damage here - luckily much south of me.
