TGIF!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TGIF!

Postby BarbaraRose » Fri Feb 19, 2010 9:09 am

Good morning all! Just watching the ferrets playing with each other and bouncing out of control, and waiting to find out if I need to go in to work (office job) today. My hours are getting cut back more and more now so I am going to start looking for another part-time or full-time job to replace one of my current jobs. Just can't make ends meet this way.

I frosted my hair the other day and it turned out pretty nice! Everyone says I look better with blonde hair. Usually, I wait until spring to do that but I needed to do something to make me feel better. Will try to get a new pic to put up.

It is -2 below right now but getting up to around 32 today, so not so bad, and the sun is out! We have a drive-in diner down the street (like the old 60's diners where you pull up and order from your car). They just opened this week for the season. Seems awfully early this year! A little chilly to be eating in your car right now. They do have great food there, tho. And in the summer, on Thursday nights they have a classic car show which is really cool to see.
Still throwing around the idea of moving to California at the end of the summer. Just need to get my ducks in a row first.

Sorry, no coffee or donuts for you guys this morning but maybe someone else has some to share...

Have a great day!

Barbie
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Hi Barb,.... here's some banana muffins to share,... and of course coffee.... :D I've never frosted or streaked my hair, but have come close a couple of times. Always wondered how I'd deal with it as it grew out. Chicken me. I'll bet it is a mood booster. Good for you!

Looking at the last weekend before I head back to work. That's ok,.. I'm ready. I actually do miss the kids I work with in the high school computer lab. I am watching as much Olympics as I can, and was so pleased to see our USA skater take the men's figure skating. What a nice young man. And I'm a big fan of Julia Mancuso in the skiing events. I'm a new fan of snowboarding, too. If I was 20 years old I'd try that.

So I'd better get back to my housework,... heading out to basketball games tonight. Both girls and boys varsity basketball teams compete for the Mountain-Valley League titles tonight. And,... granddaughter Emily is now on Varsity. Then it will be on to the sectional playoffs. Still have 2-3 weeks of b'ball left .... season is way too short! :D

Have a great day all!

Good morning.

It is cold but sunny here in the Pacific Northwest. I slept pretty good last night. Woke up once and took about an hlaf hour to go back to sleep. Hubby slept laying flat on the couch last night with the heating pad on his shoulder. The doctor said heat was good for it. Hopefully he is on the mend. I think he is as he is making oatmeal for the two of us for breakfast.

Today I am working at the church. We have to get ready for our annual meeting the end of the month. Lots of copying and stapling will be done today.

Went to the last boys basketball game last night. It was senior night so all the seniors and their parents were honored. Brought back memories to Brandon's senior night.

I have been missing my kids and grandkids a lot lately. Hope to see Jamie and his family this weekend. Talked to Brandon last Sunday for his birthday. We are planning on spending a couple of weeks in Lewiston after we are done with working/traveling for the carnival.

Tackled the closet yesterday. Now we need to get a couple more totes. Still need to finish the closet and the cupboard above our bed. Things are slowly coming together as we prepare for this new adventure.

That's all I know for this morning so I will get off here and have breakfast with my sweetie. Hope everyone has a good day!

I use to frost my hair but now it's frosted with gray. I think I should be able to put a blond dye and it would be frosted but gray hair doesn't cooperate.

Tonight is the second annual get together with the women I use to work with. I made a shrimp butter to bring but it is turning into more of a dip. I have put everything but the sink in it and am still not happy with it. There was a catering place here that made the best shrimp butter but I have never been able to come close to theirs. At one time I worked for a company that catered a lot of meetings and we always slipped shrimp butter in for the office crew.

Is any one else sick and tired of hearing about Tiger Woods? He was on this morning and I think they are talking about it on every station.

Good Morning
There is no ice or snow left here - YEA! Still a bit chilly but sooooo much better than it has been of late. Lots of sunshine today and it was clear enough last night for me to see the moon. No big plans for the day other than to get out in that sunshine before it goes away again.
Have a great day whatever you are doing.

Herschel and Remi got to go on their visits this morning. Herschel particularly like to go in the mornings around 10:00 am because many of his friends come down to the main common area for morning coffee/snack time. The residents know not to "treat" him and as long as no one comes through using a walker Herschel gets to cruise from resident to resident and greet everyone and collect his back and ear rubs! I call him back when someone besides staff is walking so that he doesn't go try to collect back rubs from them and lean against someone's legs. The sun is shinning bright and though there appears to still be about 8 inches of snow on the ground the ice is melting and the birds are singing like crazy. There will be a spring! I'll just get a cup of tea and be on my way. Got some good books from the library that need reading.
