Snow Day Puppy Style

Postby BirdbyBird » Mon Feb 15, 2010 7:48 pm

Herschel here.
Gray haired lady went to get her taxes done and made it back in one piece BUT SHE WOULDN'T TAKE US ANYWHERE! :? Something about too much snow! :o But we went outside and double checked and we didn't find too much snow.
See, you can still see Remi's head on the left coming though the snow.

And you wouldn't believe that all those pups wanted to chase little old ME!

Izzy thought this snow way more fun than gaiting around some show ring...

Image

Image

And rolling in the snow is fun as that sand rolling....except when the little one tries to hold me down.

Image

Image

And who is this flying eared wonder?

Image

So, anyway.... The gray haired lady said she is getting enough of a Tax refund to keep buying our dog food for a while longer (besides I think she kinda likes us) And even though she wouldn't take us for any car rides, we did make her put on her tall boots and come outside for some sunshine.....she kept mumbling something above Stuart's happy barks about whether the sunshine counted as healthy!

Hope you guys all had a good day, too!

Dear Herschel, Remi, Blondie, Izzy, and Stuart,

You guys will never know how many smiles you bring to so many faces! And heck, if your Mommy didn't get enough money back from Uncle Sam, I think there'd be a few of us pounding the streets on your behalf! Or you ALL could come to live with Auntie Mitch...

And Dear Gray Haired Lady - thanks for the smiles!!! That's a helluva lot of snow!!!

Oh my! What a wonderful set of pictures!!! Had me grinning from ear to ear. Ears a flopping and tails a flagging!!! hehe Who wore who out with all that romping?

Cracked me up to see Herschel letting his 'hair' down.

Molly says for you all to come up here and play with her in the snow! She would LOVE to have you all to run with and chase around!

Thanks for the great pics of pups having such a good snow play time!

(Where are the ones of mom getting snowballs out of fur??!!)

Sassy says, "ARE YOU CRAZY? You actually like to get your tummy cold? I'll watch from here on the sofa in front of the heater.

Buddy says: "Glad you guys had fun but I'm much too dignified to run around like that."

Sophie says: "HEY, wait for me. With my short little legs you probably couldn't even see me in the snow."

Dignity? We don't know nothing about no dignity....we just know PLAY! (They all kept wanting me to throw something for them but I knew that even Stuart wouldn't find the tennis ball in those drifts  Recipe for snow melting: ....put extra towels out on the floor, throw out some extra treats and leave "snow ball" dogs in the back entry (in front of their crates), with the small heater running, with the puppy gate closed....until melted....... :D Poor Remi aways has to thaw a few extra minutes because of his fuzzy coat and the issue of the snow coming over his head! Herschel is always the first on through. :)

Great pictures thanks!! Brought a lot of smiles here too, they looked like they were having so much fun. My three dogs never run and play together sometimes the little ones will play inside but never the three together.
