BACK TO WORK!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

BACK TO WORK!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

It's cold again this morning----about 7 above zero F.-----but I don't hear that relentless wind any more. Whew! I've been watching the Olympic events most all night, so I am really tired and NOT looking forward to work today. Our local athletes are performing really well in Vancouver, even though their goals for medals have fallen short so far. I am very proud of them all! That we have so many contestants in Vancouver is something to be very proud of for our tiny little mountain village.

I am so not looking forward to dealing with my poor kids again, but it's looking more and more as if I will have to be doing this for yet another year, unless I can convince them to make me an offer for my unused sick and personal days if I decide to retire. I seem to be the only teaching assistant who was the least bit interested in the buyout offer. Sigh. My mind is tired of thinking about it. I also need to convince them to call the 'buyout' an 'incentive' or 'compensation' for unused sick time, as the retirement association won't consider a buyout part of my final year's salary. I need a larger salary figure to make my monthly retirement payments more.

Coffee is hot, the room is warm thanks to my overnight wood fire, I have a mouse in the live trap to release this morning on my way to school, and I need to get dressed for another stressful day. Stop by and let us know what's up in your world! I always look forward to reading the posts when I get back home in the afternoons.

Happy Tuesday!

Happy travels!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Well today for us is a run around day. Need to go get groceries, water and whatever else. And we are picking up our new canopy today, I think? We are both excited at the thought of getting it home and set up! YeeHaw! Will have to pick up another tarp to use as walls, as I only have one long one. It will be soooo nice to have some extra room to move around in tho. Need to get a camp table too so that we can get a bunch of stuff off the picnic table so that we aren't sitting elbow to elbow. Really wish I could find some of the medium sized Christmas bulbs to replace the burnt out ones. Hmmm Should probably check the tents and consignment shops in Q for them. We finally managed to pay a full months camp fee here so that frees up extra money for us. Was not fun paying weekly. Cheapest place around but still it's cheaper monthly. Ahhhhhh!

Shade has made a friend here in the campground. Just realized that I have no idea what the heck his name is? But he drives over on his golf cart to visit he then proceeds to steal Shade and goes cruising the campground visiting taking Shade with him. She is in her little glory riding around on that thing with him. And he is simply tickled to death that she will go with him. It took some doing to get her to stay and go with him. But now? Look out, up she hops on the seat, sits there as big as you please and away she goes! ;   We really need to get a picture of her and her new friend.

Ok, coffee is hot and fresh if'in ya want some. Set a spell and tell us what your up to today. Remember to be safe in all you do.

Love to all

Good morning Ladies:

Soos...good luck with your plans to retire...hope you can get all the money stuff worked out.

Echo...have fun running around. I hope you get your new set up today. Can't wait to see pictures.

I had a rough night last night...Ron was up often with his sore shoulder and now this morning he was sick to his stomach again. I think he took his pain pill on an empty stomach. I am trying to decide if I go to work today...would rather stay home and be near him in case he needs something. His doctor just called and changed his appointment from 1:30 tomorrow to 2:30 tomorrow...can't come soon enough for me. I am pretty tired...sure hope I can make it through the day.

Am supposed to meet a friend for an early dinner tonight...she wants to get together before she goes to Illinois to see her mom and before we leave. It's been awhile since we have been able to connect...sure hope Ron is feeling up to going.

Well I don't know much else so will get off of here for now. Will check back in later tonight.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Today is...try to recover from yesterday. I forgot about how downhill skiing is a total body work out.
I did sleep fine..as I took my Ibuprofen and Vit C.

I did tell DH last night that we are going to start saving for a hot tub. With us starting to take up more winter sports it would be nice to have one to come home to.
We plan to rebuild the decks this summer...so we can have that plan include a hot tub and make sure we build the deck with the extra support needed for the weight of a hot tub. I would like it on the back corner of the house that overlooks the ravine. I can dream right?

The weather here is rainy and warm. I have no idea what ever happened to winter..we just have yet to really get "winter". I know other areas have had more then their share of winter. I can say the weather god must be woman and she is PMS big time...

I have to share a funny story. After 2 hours I took the ski boots back..they were hurting my feet and I wanted a larger size up. I think what happened was I put shoe size down as a 7 (they assumed woman's) and went one size smaller. ( I wear a 9 in woman's). They were joking..saying I need your DL number SSN...I said I don't think I can give you that information and technically you already have the DL # on the rental form. You are not getting my SSN!! Then he says..Okay then we will take your first born.
" I was like great you can have him, he is 21, jobless and moved back home" Then he turned to the girl working the counter with him...he said.." Hey Andrea...you can have her son...he is available". It was quite funny. I then went to put on the new boots. Got one on felt much better..they took the info and we joked about how I only one boot and two skis. (they had to write down the information on the slip).
Then he brought over the other boot..I got in on. Then he gave me a high 5. For knowing how to actually put the boot on, buckle it and not ask any stupid questions. I told him I did go skiing back in high school a few times..so I kinda had an idea. It is really not all that difficult to figure out.

I will try and get some pictures loaded up. I am trying to figure out how to share FB album. I know there is a way. If you are my friend on FB I did get some pictures up.
