I was checking in a guest at Kaibab and asked the lady for her last name. She replied " H. O. A. R" I said, "Oh, like the frost." She got such a look of relief on her face that I hadn't come up with another interpretation. If I was her I would have changed my name. I also knew a Mrs. Death. I pronounced it,as I thought correctly, Mrs. D'Ath. It is a corruption of a french name. However she snarled at me that it was pronounced DEATH! I would have changed that too. Then there were the Fuque's in Tennessee...

I went to school with a girl with the last name of Titsworth. She changed it when she was a senior in high school. Unfortunately, everyone still refers to her by that name (only because we can remember it). I would have changed it the day I was born! Luckily, she was very well liked in school so she didn't get teased too bad about it.

Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
