My "Winter" Weekend

Well, it couldn't have been better weather. Beautiful, sunny, warm days and cold, clear nights.

I went camping with my SCCampers group this weekend and we really lucked out. There's a wonderful place up the coast called Lake Casitas -- site of some of the 1984 Olympic games. Jed had a blast, smelling everything and even taking a boat ride with me. One of the guys in our group rented a pontoon boat & we spent about 2 hours on the lake. Here are some pictures of my weekend ...

It was a wonderful time, the trailer was incredible, and it was hard to come home. Weather's supposed to hold for at least a couple of days longer so I won't whine too much.

I remember Lake Casitas from when I lived in Santa Barbara. It is on the way to Ojai, which is a beautiful little town in the mountains. It is so nice to see water and grass!!! I won't see open water here until at least the middle of April! I SO miss California!! I really want to move back there again but just can't afford it right now.
Looks like Jed is a very happy (and lucky) doggy!

How exciting to be able to camp in February! It looks as if you and Jed had a great weekend! Like Barbie, I won't see open water up here until sometime in April, if I am lucky even then!
