so glad for the good news, now its just a matter of healing. Its hard to keep
an active dog quiet, but it can be done, when Gracie broke her leg I kept her
doped up on the meds they gave me. I think it really helped. Will continue
with the prayers to keep you stress free during the healing process.

Kellie

So sorry to hear about your accident with Eddie. Echoing what others have said about don't feel guilty any longer. It won't do either of you any good. Hope you both heal quickly and that Eddie's surgery and recuperation go well.

THAT'S what Eddie needs ... doggie downers. LOL. Glad he's on the mend ... that has to lift your spirits. I know it'll be a long haul with him, but pain doesn't seem to keep dogs down that much. Just give him loves and he'll be happy.

I'm happy to report that Eddie continues to improve day by day. Still not eating a lot bu drinks plenty of water. Is still on pain meds and antibiotics so they could be affecting his appetite some also. He will eat tidbits of his favorites and treats. His staples are to come out 110-14 days after surgery. Any vet can do it, but I'd feel better if it was someone who has at least seen him before. Was scheduled to leave here Thursday am but just talked to the office and they were able to extend me til Monday so Dr. Deb can do the removal. Her office has been wonderful, so caring -nfar beyond the call of duty. Port A is having a Mardi Gras parade tonight so I'll go and take pics and post some later.

That is such good. I'm always amazed at the ability of our canine friends to bounce back.
