Mitch and Zee Wow, the fickle finger of fate sure has dumped a load on your plates. Sending hugs to both of you. I can't add anything that hasn't already been said. (Much better than I ever could, I'm not good with expressing my feelings). You are both strong women and will come out of this on the positive side. I've had similar losses, sister, parents, two friends and a favorite cousin all pass within 10 months of each other, and know how overwhelming it can get.

Mitch, with the weight you have already lost and your resolution to continue and to get healthy, George will have his fantasy young, svelte wife to take care of him, possibly wearing a new french maid outfit.

Zee, I know a lot of people, (mother, friends, neighbors) who have had knee replacements and they always state that they wondered why they waited so long to do so. It makes quite a difference.

Thanks so much for them kind words....Only thing I might have second thoughts is..if my enemies show up at a GTG and have a Magnet.. I ain't goin no where fast....Ya think that would happen...hahaha....YEP... Cause I am sure loved by LOTS..

OH..and I've finally decided..I'm donating my body to science..cause I sure want to Know on my return..Where the He77 did I go Wrong ????

Ah, Zee....you surely have no enemies, at least among us! It's good to see you posting, right through the pain. You've had more than your share of difficulties too. I know this forum can help take our mind off ourselves for a time, and that is good.

20 years, then I found that I just didn't need them anymore.

Mitch I am so sorry to hear of the blow after blow you have been receiving. One alone would be enough. Don't try to be "brave and cheerful" all the time. When I was grief stricken I got tired of acting. I decided to let myself fall down the well. I was depressed and didn't care who knew it. Only when I gave myself the permission to do that did I begin to climb out of the well and heal. You are not responsible for others happiness, only your own. Do what you need to do for you.

Why did they have you switch between nitro pills and nitro patches?

Yes, both knees done.. because I am a heart patient.. getting through surgery is not always easy..and passing the stress test it's a go for both..down one time and pain over and done..not a repeat..for another event..which I might not be able to have.. plus both knees are bad and just one being done I can't stand on the other.. I know..sounds awful..but it's the way it has to be.. plus my motto ya only get me one time..and that's enough... I thought I said that for my heart but....I've been known to open my mouth too soon...and boy I sure am hoping I don't have to take that one back..YET...


As for why I had to wear patch.. after having by pass that was what I had to do.. and I also have unstable angina.. sooooo there are days that I wake up with angina...and continues through out the day off and on.. I do take now IMDUR which is a slow releasing nitro.. that helps tremendously..but still have headaches..that seems to be on going ..

It's not all that bad..really sounds worse than what it is.. when trying to explain.. it's kind of you get to live with it.. and I do have quality of life not just existing...and will get better once I get my knees taken care of.. Lord willin..

Mitch, with heart disease meds are changing and progress in testing is improving and goodness I can only tell you with all that I've had done.. it's a new thing almost everyday..So keep heads up ..You will see.. there is a lot to offer and lots of research ...progress...progress..

I know you will be in good hands and all of us here are in your corner..You know we are all nosey and willin to share our stories..just ask away.. really..
I was surprised since I was diagnosed on all the changes making way..

And yes, we'll eat heathier... I do lots of legumes..(of course hubby wants his fat back in them ...is he tryin to tell me somethin? )..
