Thoughts on PA GTG 2010!!

Lori, I'm game for the July 25-31 week.

I'm thinking it will be Lori & Ernie, Mitch & G, Me and Ronnie, Paulette, Tina(?), Carolyn(?), Brewsterivy, Shirlv, PeggyinCT, Liz(?), Kelpie(?) that's 14 people if everyone can make it!

Lori, it's not too late to change your mind and head for the hills! Are you really, really sure you want to have us all up there?

Vicki....too late....we're already in the "hills" in PA.... And yes, we do love company.....we are honored to host our "Sisters" here and show off the area.....will also get a hold of Marilyn, Ray & Donna, Margie & Pam to see if they would like to join us, if that's all right with ya'll....

Tina, I'm not far from Annapolis...my driveway isn't flat, but you are welcome to park overnight. I'm about 5 minutes from I-95 north of Baltimore.

Lori, I'm going to try real hard to be there. Everything this summer is still up in the air. Was planning on taking GD to Iowa to stay with her Dad for the summer, but recent events may have changed those plans. (His wife has some bi-polar disabilities and I'm not sure leaving O there would be good for any of them.) So, who knows where I'll be. I usually go to NC the first weekend of August for a family reunion, but may opt out of that if that weekend is when we will be gathering in PA. Yes, do invite Marilyn, Ray and Donna and Margie and Pam...the more the merrier.

Also, I plan to find a place this summer that I can park my RV for the winter...somewhere south of here where I don't have to put pink stuff in the water lines and where if the weather threatens to turn nasty up here, I can hop in my jeep and head for the RV. I just don't think I can shovel another flake of snow without going completely bonkers. Well, I guess I could, but I know that I don't want to. It is either that, or figure out how to go on the road full time (and since I have a school aged child in my care it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to pull that off soon enough).

Paulette, I will let you know what the summer holds as the year progresses..... I have problems planning too far ahead. When I was working, I always felt that I had to be the one to take up the slack or fix things that fall apart. I missed way too many vacation opportunities. I AM trying to get better. I admit that the GTG give me sane reasons to get out of town.....

.....but the step mother canceled her two appointment that were for Thursday and today....and said she would reschedule them both as soon as I am back in town on Monday....... I was so hoping that she would figure out a better support system......

I hear ya Tina. Just wanted to give you an "option". Sounds like the step mom has gotten very comfortable with you taking care of her. I know for you that is a good and bad thing. I hope it all works out for you.

Has anyone started the bail bond fund? Think money was left over from the Florida gathering. with Mitch and Vicki both there, I am sure we better bump the amount higher.

Oh good grief that's right!!! Just counted out my change pocket and have $1.93 left over. Ya can put that in the bail pot!!! Nan's right, sure gonna need that bail for the PA GTG!!! Have no doubt.

It's not to be used for Taco Bell or ice cream either!!!
