Mom & Dad gave me this thing and for the life of me, I don't know what to do with it.....It doesn't bounce, can't tug on it, and it has no squeeky....I'm confused....So until I can figure it out, I've buried it under my doggie bed....

OMG, that is so funny.

The very first one I gave Shade was almost as big as she was. She tried to bite it. Tried to chew a little off the end. Tried to pick it up!! She then gave up and stood and barked up a storm at it. About died laughing. Had to put it out of site and get her a little tiny one.

I'm kinda careful giving her rawhide anymore. Something about it not agreeing with their guts.

You could always leave it around when another dog comes over, bet Spinner would learn real quick what to do with it.

After giving Molly these rawhide chewies when I first got her, and almost losing her to an intestinal blockage, I no longer allow her to have them any more. She would chew them until they were soft enough, and slippery enough to swallow, and then GULP! She was so close to needing surgery before the damn thing came out that I won't have them in the house any more. I have talked to vets who say don't EVER give your dog these seemingly innocent rawhide (natural) bone things.....most of their emergency surgeries are to remove these from impacted intestines or stomachs. You might want to rethink rawhide bone treats!

Psstttt....Spinner...if you really want to see your humans jump try this....chew on that thing until it is really wet and slimy...then bury it way down on the foot of the bed between the sheets.....then watch them when they crawl into bed and their foot hits it...it's really funny! When we had the little beast in puppy classes, we were told to not give them rawhide chews because of that very problem Soos described. The chopped ones are okay and all the pork ones are okay. Our Little Beast only gets those...even though she's a Little Beast, she's our beloved Little Beast! Dang her for worming her way into our hearts!

Love the photo but agree with others about reconsidering the rawhide things as treats. At least ask your vet about them.

Well, don't worry about me eating these things....Mom gave them away to another dog in the campground who loves them...mainly, cause I have no interest in anything that takes too long to figure out how to chew and that doesn't entertain me in some way....and besides, I like my "Pupperoni" treats so much....and I've learned 3 tricks just to get them....
