We're not watching anything!! Well I'm watching the letters appear as I type.

I'm cooking supper, playing on the laptop, (i hijacked from kelly) and she's in her tent reading. Nope no super bowl, no puppy bowl, no TV!!!

I saw a whole bunch of people up yonder when I went to take my shower, all sitting in a semi circle. Wondered what the heck they were all watching on the TV sitting out there? Thought they were having a movie night or something. Now I know it was the super bowl as the neighbors were talking about it. They sure did have a lot of food piled up on a long table up there. Must have been 20 people.

Looks like New Orleans has it in the bag now. Not too impressed with the commercials and definately not impressed with the half-time show. Why do they keep choosing groups from the 70's? They were great in the 70's but 40 years later they are just old guys who can't sing anymore.
I am glad New Orleans is gonna win since they need something like this to improve the morale and get them some positive attention for their town.

Yea the Saints won. I'm not into football but I had to watch the Saints. I was trying to find a web camera on Bourbon street but couldn't get one to load. I bet there is some party going on there.

Well, I enjoyed The Who - don't consider them a 70's band but a 60's band - does that age me? hahaha - and I still think of myself as young.

Jean and I both won a quarter - we made out pretty good. She won at the half, I did after 3. Kewl, eh?

Have no clue as to commercials - we were watching the game in Spanish.

My music ear techy son...was upset with both, but not the acts, as he knows they both have talent. But at the sound techs who do not know how to do their job. He was telling me exactly what they were doing wrong..he said the TV sound techs just have no idea of what they need to do. They are ruining some great songs.

Then it didn't help when his little sister was like CSI song. One of The Who's song is the theme song for CSI. He was like it is NOT a CSI Song. Oh to be 21 years old and know absolutely everything. LOL

I have to admit..I also watched it for the commercials. I was surprised by the Focus on the Family Commercial..I was like "what was all this hype" over this commercial.

My favorite was the Budweiser commercial with the foal and the calf...then they grow up and the calf busts through the fence.

I liked that one too! Budweiser always has good commercials, especially the Clydesdale ones. I always like the animal commercials the best. Except for the screaming chickens. That got to be annoying after awhile.

I liked the Budweiser commercial with the calf and longhorn too. Was sad the Colts lost though.

I had the game on but didn't care who won. I'm not into football. Like most of us I was watching the commercials while on my computer or iPhone. I liked a couple but thought most were pretty stupid. Men running in a field in their undies, a Dorito guy exploding or some such, screaming chickens. Then the GoDaddy ones were, I felt, badly acted and written. Didn't get the gist of the Charles Barkley one, nor the Neil Patrick Harris holding the sign one. Martin Sheen's show was advertised a few times which I felt was offensive after his recent abuse of his wife. I thought there were much better Super Bowls in the past. JMHO ;)
PS Can you tell I'm in a pissy mood!??? I hurt my elbow joint at Curves on Friday and I haven't slept well, then while eating a dish of ice cream today my tooth breaks off! I got a letter from my medical insurance co. and my premiums went up by $200! On top of that, today should have been my 41st wedding anniversary. But I digress. Still working through all the hurt, I guess. Sorry. :(

Nope...not me. I spent the day with my daughter and went to see Avatar 3D (AWESOME!). Then got home and got the run down on the game from hubby and son. Miss seeing the funny commercials, but I can google and see those if I really wanted. Actually glad to see the Saints win. :)

Well it's the morning after and I'm so happy for the Saints and New Orleans. What a boost for that city that has endured so much. Wonderful game. The commercials were fun for me,.... some of course were better than others. I enjoyed the Bridgstone tires, Doritos and E-trade ones. Didn't see much sense to the family values one. It was totally out of sync with the event. But I guess it's just me not understanding as I don't follow that football player. I agree that some of the commercials were not as good as others. As I didn't know The Who (see,... I'm even older! ) I don't have an opinion on whether they were good or bad. I did think Queen Latifa was good but Carrie Underwood struggled, ... nerves?

ok,... that's my 2 cents. :D

Holy Cow, Lenora - that's a lot of 'bad' in a short time! I'm sorry you're having a rough time. And that insurance jump is $200 PER MONTH? YIKES!

Didn't mean to hijack this thread, but appreciate all the good thoughts and hugs. I'm doing better today. Went to Curves and worked through the pain. Still stiff but not worse. I won't get my tooth fixed till Wednesday cause I'm not in pain so they I'm not a priority. Thanks again for you support!
