Washington is pretty pricey now days, White Center( Rat City) is a NO-NO for living. Des Moines is nice, Burien ( I grew up there), Issaquah is expanding big time and pricey, North Bend is quaint, pricey is Bellevue & Redmond. They'll have to check out some areas in Seattle but they will be in shock at how much places are there compaired to Louisiana when you get acreage with the house and in WA you get a shack!
