Yeah I would be lost. But Shade does come up to me while I'm sitting at the bench and stands up and puts her front paws on my shoulder. When I turn she crawls up the front of me and snuggies down. Or she will put her head under my arm and try to pick it up to make room for her. I think we both need and enjoy those hugs and loves.
) so the tip there, besides the "chit" sound, was to have something to distract him,too....so we're using a squeeky that he tore out of a toy....works like a charm!!!!! when he's calm/submissive, we then let him greet whom ever is at the door....he's doing pretty good and is catching on....
showed him the error of his ways with a stern "NO" and no "lovin' pats" for awhile.....the head was down and the ears flat...he knew he was bad....crawled up on his bed....but all is forgiven...after an hour and a half of rolling all that yarn into a ball again....I sometimes think he thinks he part cat....
